The Cincinnati Bengals had to cut Devon Still on Saturday, but he was more than grateful for everything they’ve done for him

One of the more notable cuts from the NFL world on Saturday as teams get their rosters to 53 was the Cincinnati Bengals releasing defensive tackle Devon Still. Of course, while Still was never really a prominent presence on the field for the team, he’s been a more than prominent presence in our lives as we’ve watched the story of he and his daughter Leah who’s battling cancer.

Throughout his time with the Bengals, we learned that they were more than willing to help the former Penn State star out with anything he needed. Because of this, while it’s terrible being cut from an NFL team, he was more than happy to express his gratitude to the organization for everything they’ve done for him.

No matter where your NFL allegiance lies, you can’t ignore the fact that the Bengals were more than awesome in the way they helped Still out. This was a man that is trying to break through the NFL wall, which is a hard enough task in itself. At the same time, he was trying to take care of his lovely daughter who’s battling a nightmare we all hate to see. That’s not easy on any human being, but the Bengals did all they could to make it as easy as possible for Still.

Not to mention, even though he doesn’t work for them any longer, they have still agreed to pay his health insurance for the next five years.

Awesome job, Bengals.
