Andy Dalton and Brandon Tate connected for a long touchdown against the Chiefs.

Through three quarters of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, Andy Dalton played out of his mind. The Red Rifle was out there picking apart what was once thought to be a decent Kansas City defense, spreading the ball to his entire corps (Marvin Jones sighting, anyone?).
Midway through the third quarter, on the heels of a false start penalty and facing a 3rd-and-11, Dalton eluded coverage and uncorked a bomb while on the run to a streaking Brandon Tate. Tate hauled the ball in, fell to the turf, somehow alluded Chiefs defenders while on the ground, made it to his feet and flopped into the end zone.
If there was any play indicative of the day for both Cincinnati and Kansas City, it’s this: Benglas looking clean, Kansas City getting shredded.
As of post, the Bengals offense has accrued 368 yards at an astounding 10.5 yards per play. Dalton is 16-for-20 with 291 yards passing and one touchdown. The touchdown reception was Tate’s first (and currently his only) catch of the game.
