Live tracker for the 2016 WWE Draft results

After months of building it up, the moment has finally arrived; on Tuesday, July 19 on the first episode of WWE Smackdown Live, it will be time for the much anticipated WWE Draft that will change the landscape of the company and will do so quickly.

Before the WWE Draft even gets started, though, things are going to get crazy once again. WWE RAW ended on a controversial (and confusing) note when both Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose had their shoulders on the mat when the referee was counting to three. Though Rollins was initially ruled the winner, a review called the match a draw. Now, before the WWE Draft, Smackdown Live will be host to the rematch for the WWE Championship between Rollins and Ambrose.

That match will obviously set the stage for the WWE Draft and Stephanie McMahon hinted at that by saying essentially that she’d be drafting whoever is the champ after the rematch with the No. 1 overall pick for WWE RAW.

However, there are other rules that will be followed throughout the WWE Draft other than just “RAW goes first.” There will also be a rule in place to compensate for RAW being three hours and Smackdown Live being two with RAW getting three picks for every two that Smackdown gets. Moreover, tag teams will count as single picks unless a general manager or commissioner wants someone singularly. Lastly, six NXT superstars will be drafted on Tuesday night in Worcester, MA.

This WWE Draft is shaping up to be a historic and unforgettable moment that wrestling fans won’t want to miss out on a single minute of. That’s where we have you covered as we’ll be tracking the results of the WWE Draft and of Smackdown below once the show goes live at 8 p.m. ET.
