Roger Goodell has had quite the offseason when it comes to player suspensions. In July alone, the league saw repeat offenders Le’Veon Bell of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arthur Jones of the Indianapolis Colts (and brother of UFC figher Jon ‘Bones’ Jones) both facing suspensions for the first four games of the NFL’s regular season.
Tennessee Titans safety Marqueston Huff has added his name to the list, according to Pro Football Talk.
The safety has reportedly been suspended for the Titans’ season opener at home against the Minnesota Vikings, a one-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Huff started all 16 games for the Titans in 2015, and 14 for the team as a rookie the year before. Last season, Huff recorded 18 tackles, one sack and one interception returned for a touchdown.
Huff will be available for the Titans throughout the team’s preseason, and will not count against the team’s 53-man opening day roster. The team will allowed to activate Huff on September 12.
