Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry hit a half-court shot while sitting down at the Warriors Basketball Camp on Thursday morning.
After taking the NBA by storm the past two seasons with a dazzling pre-game warm up, a quick-release jump-shot dagger and setting what seems like a million three-point records, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry continues to find ways to amuse fans.
After a morning session the Golden State Warriors Basketball Camp on Thursday, Curry sat down at half court with Golden State photographer Jack Arent to attempt 47-foot shots while seated
And after just one failed try, Curry tossed the ball, kicked his legs anticipating a swish and…Curry was Curry.
It appears Curry is some sort of super-human, who has literally no range when it comes to shooting a basketball.
According to the Mercury News, Curry’s shot was not far off from being considered a world record. At 47 feet, Curry’s shot was just eight feet shorter than the current Guinness World Record for the longest seated shot. Dude Perfect’s Cody Jones holds the current world record, hitting a 55-foot while filming at TCU in March.

It’s been quite the offseason for Curry. Following the NBA Finals loss to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Curry opted to decline an invitation to accompany Team USA to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
Instead, Curry has spent his summer accepting an ESPY for best record-breaking performance (402 three-pointers in the 2015-16 season), collecting three NBA Players Association awards and, most recently, playing golf with President Obama and Justin Timberlake.
Somewhere deep inside, we all want to be Stephen Curry.
