DFS Fantasy Football Picks: Week 3 DFS Bargain Bin

Similarly to baseball, finding cheaper value players can be ever so critical to the success of your DFS Fantasy Football Picks. In order to unlock the studs of the slate, you’ll need to find the bargain players that provide important salary relief. Here are my top bargain plays for week three on both DraftKings and Fanduel.

Travis Benjamin – SD (WR) – DK $5200

Travis Benjamin will be one of the highest owned wide receivers this week, and rightfully so. After losing both Allan and Woodhead, Benjamin was able to real in all six of his targets for 115 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll be in an excellent spot again, facing the abysmal Colt’s secondary. The Chargers are currently 2.5 point dogs, with a projected team total of 24.5 points.

Ryan Tannehill – MIA (QB) – DK $6200

While Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins are nothing to write home about, they’ll be in a dream match up against the lowly Browns, at home. Miami had a tough first two games, traveling on the road to Seattle and then New England. This sets up as perfect spot for the Dolphins to get a “W”. Tannehill is quite cheap and also has some running ability to solidify his floor projection.  It will be important to monitor the injuries at running back, as this could determine how the offensive snaps should be allocated.

Dak Prescott – DAL (QB) – DK $5700

If you’re looking to slide a little further down the salary scale, Dak Prescott could fix your craving. Dak will be in an appealing spot as the Chicago Bears will travel south, coming off of a short week. The Cowboys are currently favored by 7.5 points and after a better game last week, this could be a break out game for Dak. That being said, Dallas will try to run the ball and slow the game down, so while Dak will be in tremendous spot, his upside could be capped. It’s also worth noting that the Bears will be without line backers Lamarr Houston, and Danny Trevathan.

DraftKings Specific

Jacob Tamme – ATL (TE) – DK $3200

In just two games, Jacob Tamme has received 16 total targets. At this price, in a game where Atlanta is projected to score 25 points, Tamme is as close as you can get to a lock in cash  games on DraftKings. With Julio being hobbled, Matt Ryan has turned to his tight end quite often. The Falcons should be trailing in this game, leading us to believe that they’ll need to air it out. I think Tamme has a safe floor given his expected targets, but also a moderately high ceiling, given that this game could turn into a shootout.

Fanduel Specific

Jarvis Landry – MIA (WR) – FD $7000

Jarvis Landry has been a target monster over the past few seasons. It’s undeniable that Tannehill and Landry have a connection. As mentioned earlier, Miami should put the hurting on Cleveland, and given Landry’s projected usage, he should be able to reach value. However, I am cautious, as Landry’s target have generally come in garbage time and if Miami jumps out to a lead (where he wasn’t scoring) they could lean heavily on the run. He’s still very under priced on Fanduel and should be considered when entering lineups.

More from FanSided

Melvin Gordon – SD (RB) – FD $7100

Melvin Gordon is one of the running backs that will assume an increased workload this week, due to an injury occurring in the most recent game. Gordon has looked excellent so far, rushing for three touchdowns in his first two games and over 100 yards last week. I think Gordon is a much better runner than we saw last year and he should be able to take advantage of an awful Colt’s defense. If Rivers, incorporates him into the offense as he did with Woodhead, Gordon could be set up for a huge game. Note that the Chargers are dogs in this game, so if the Colt’s are leading, Gordan’s usage could potentially take a nose dive. (Monitor how he’ll be used on third downs, and in the passing game, with the addition of Dexter McCluster.)

Jesse James – PIT (TE) – FD $4500

We were on Jesse James last week, and will be again as the Steelers travel across the state to Philadelphia. James continues to receive targets, and more importantly, in the red zone. He’s very cheap on Fanduel and it wont take much for James to return value.
