Fantasy Football Quarterback Stream of the Week

So far this season my Fantasy Football Quarterback streaming strategy has been highly effective. Two strong weeks out of Jameis Winston and Matt Ryan have propelled many of my teams out to 2-0 starts. Week 3 will see my stream of the week turn to Miami. Ryan Tannehill is my week three stream of the week. Tannehill not only has a great match up but also has been playing well this season. Tannehill is only owned in 39.5% of ESPN leagues putting him well below the necessary threshold to consider him a streamer.

Tannehill’s Strong Start

Tannehill did have an average week one at best against Seattle only finishing with 14 fantasy points. However a week later he nearly rallied his team to a comeback against New England and finished with 22 fantasy points. Tannehill is currently the tenth ranked quarterback and can certainly improve on this status in week three. New England and Seattle have some of the better defenses in the NFL but Tannehill did not fold under the pressure. Cleveland has arguably the worst defense in the NFL and presents Tannehill with another opportunity to have a big week.

Holding Strong

Nearly every single NFL team has seen a key player fall to an injury this season. Some examples include the Chargers ACL woes (Allen and Woodhead). Adrian Peterson just fell victim to a meniscus tear and Doug Martin just went down in Tampa. The Dolphins have been fortunate so far this season and still have their key receivers in the form of Landry and Stills. Tannehill’s two favorite targets will see no shortage of targets this week and it goes without saying that the Browns will not be able to keep up.

Outstanding Match up

Cleveland has been downright awful against opposing quarterbacks this year. Although Carson Wentz has had a great season so far, it is important to keep in mind the Browns could not stop the rookie in week 1. Joe Flacco lit the Browns up for 302 yards and 2 touchdowns in week 2. Ryan Tannehill has a great chance to continue this trend in week 3 and has a great chance to finish with a big game. Another factor to keep in mind is that this game is in Miami. Tannehill historically has played better at home and the Browns are not much of a threat on the road. Tannehill has great potential in week 3 to say the least.

Ultimatum

For any players who still do not believe in the streaming strategy please look at the chart below. The strategy of picking up a match up based quarterback appears to be highly effective and can easily win you your fantasy games week after week. Ryan Tannehill is a must start in week three in my opinion. Stats do not lie and in my opinion it is foolish to not put Tannehill in for a spot start.
