DraftKings NBA Picks for February 10

We are back up to nine games for our main DraftKings tournament tonight. LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden are all off, but there are still plenty of stars to spend on tonight. Which ones have the best matchups? Where are the bargains? Let’s take a look!

Don’t forget to follow @fantasycpr on Twitter for lineup updates as we get them leading to the tipoffs of the games! I am not always able to get back in here and fix my picks when someone sits for the night, but we will update it on Twitter.

More from DFS

Most of my picks end up being a little on the conservative side, so these lineups may be better suited for cash games, though I usually play both types.

Point Guards

Best Bets:

John Wall ($10,400): If you are a faithful reader of this, you may wonder why I never play Giannis. It’s simple. He has only hit 5x value once in the last dozen games. He is a great player, and is a ton of fun to watch, but he is way overpriced on DraftKings. I will take Wall for $400 less and take the damage that he has done to the Pacers this year. In two games against Indiana, Wall has 109.75 DraftKings points. Oh, and Wall has hit 5x value in seven of the last 12 games.

Goran Dragic ($7,900): The Nets are the worst team in the league defending the point. That should come as no surprise to anyone that has watched that team without Jeremy Lin. Dragic has 86.5 DraftKings points in two games against Brooklyn. The Heat are mostly healthy in the backcourt now, but Dragic has still hit 5x value in five of the last eight games.

Honorable Mention:

Stephen Curry ($9,500): Curry has actually fared pretty well against Memphis this year, a team that is notoriously tough on point guards. Curry has 88.25 DraftKings points in two games against them, which is under the coveted 5x value. However, Curry has been on fire lately. He wasn’t against the Bulls, but he played just 28 minutes in a game that everyone knew was going to be a blowout. Curry should see plenty of minutes in this one, and will at least have a shot at 5x value.

Jeff Teague ($7,400): What’s good for the Wall (goose) is good for the Teague (gander). Teague has feasted on Washington just as Wall has on Indiana. Teague has 91 DraftKings points in the two games, which makes him a 6.5x value if he can do that again. In fact, Teague may be a better play than Wall for the price.

Mike Conley ($7,300): Conley only played in one of the previous games against Golden State, but he racked up 54 DraftKings points in that game. However, we must take a look at reality here. Conley has not hit 5x value in five February games, and he has only three times in the last ten games. There is risk involved here.

Dark Horses:

Derrick Rose ($6,300): Denver has been torched by many a point guard this year, and while Rose is not as explosive as he used to be, he is still plenty good enough to put up big numbers on the Nuggets. He put up 41.25 on the Chris Paul-less Clippers on Wednesday night after struggling against the Lakers in his return to the court. Rose could be in for a big night!

Darren Collison ($5,400): Collison has a great matchup tonight with the Hawks, who have been decimated by point guards this year. He is coming off of a game against Boston in which he put up 42.75 DraftKings points. Some of that had to do with the suspension of Cousins, but Collison still has topped 5x value in the last two games.

Jerian Grant ($3,600): Grant is starting – and why not?- and is finally starting to produce. He has hit 7x value in three of the last four games. Rajon Rondo is also putting up big numbers off the bench. Both may be worth playing if Dwyane Wade does miss the game. Don’t gamble with Michael Carter-Williams and his inconsistency. Grant and Rondo are cheaper and more reliable.

My pick: Teague(PG), Conley(G); Wall(PG), Rose(G)

Shooting Guards

Best Bets:

Dion Waiters ($6,700): Keep an eye on Waiters and his questionable tag before tipoff, but if he plays, you want him in there. Waiters has 85.25 DraftKings points in two games against Brooklyn so far this year. That would put him at nearly 7x value if he can pull it off again.

Klay Thompson ($6,200): Thompson has struggled against Memphis this year, only scoring 39.75 DraftKings points in two games. That said, he has been on fire lately. Thompson has at least 6x value in four of his last five games. Statistically, Memphis is still in the bottom five against shooting guards. Klay may finally get it going against them this time.

Honorable Mention:

Devin Booker ($6,500): Booker’s hot streak is over, but he has a shot at starting a new one against what could be a beat up Bulls team once again. That doesn’t even include the discourse that has plagued the team over the last couple of weeks. At any rate, Wade is doubtful, and Butler is optimistically questionable. Even if only one of the two sit, this is a good matchup for Booker.

Will Barton ($6,100): With Kenneth Faried out again, Barton will likely notch another start. Barton has started the last two games at power forward and has racked up 99.25 DraftKings points. He will have a little tougher go against Carmelo Anthony, but not much. This could be another big night for Barton.

Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,700): It looks as though Thabo Sefalosha is no closer to a return than he was earlier this week. That should give Hardaway at least one more start, and this is a good one. The Kings haven’t done well against shooting guards this year. Just look at what Thompson did to them last week. Hardaway’s production has dipped a little, but he has still hit 5x value in all five games when playing more than 28 minutes with Thabo out.

Dark Horses:

Bojan Bogdanovic ($4,700): Bogdanovic put up 53.25 DraftKings points in two games against Miami this season. He isn’t the kind of player that will stuff a stat sheet, but he is a solid player for this price. He has hit at least 5x value in seven of the last ten games. That makes him a low risk cash game option right now.

Tony Allen ($4,400): The defensive specialist has exploded against the Warriors in two games this season. Allen picked up 71.5 DraftKings points in those two games while dumping in a combined 30 points. The track record is here for Allen to succeed again.

Shabazz Muhammad ($4,300): The Timberwolves backcourt is still in flux after losing Zach LaVine for the season. On Wednesday, Muhammad had a really nice game, Brandon Rush was a non-factor and played less minutes despite starting, Rubio didn’t take as much initiative on offense, and newcomer Lance Stephenson played 20 minutes, but was still shaking off the rust on his jumper. Stephenson looked like the most polished choice, but Muhammad’s 22 points were sorely needed. Look for him to get the best run for now, but Stephenson will be breathing down his neck.

My pick: Barton(SG), Allen(UTIL); Bogdanovic(SG), Muhammad(SF)

Small Forwards

Best Bets:

Jimmy Butler ($9,000): Assuming Butler is at full strength, he could have a huge game. For one, the game against Phoenix will be up-tempo, which automatically increases his value. If Wade sits, which looks likely, Butler will shoulder much of the scoring load for the Bulls. He had some big games with Wade out earlier this year.

Paul George ($8,000): George has 89.75 DraftKings points in two games against the Wizards this season. He has also been hot lately, picking up at least 5x value in seven of nine games. He went over 6x value in three of those! George is looking like the safest play at SF tonight.

Kevin Durant ($9,400): Durant has picked up 92 DraftKings points in two games against Memphis this year, despite their second best ranking against small forwards. Durant’s production has been inconsistent lately with the stellar play of the guards though. He has only hit 5x value in three of the last eight games. There is some risk involved here.

Honorable Mention:

Andrew Wiggins ($7,200): Wiggins struggled in his game against New Orleans earlier this year, but he has posted a 41.6 DraftKings points per game average with LaVine out. Wiggins has picked up a lot of the perimeter scoring left by LaVine, and is playing well above value right now.

Wilson Chandler ($7,100): I am guessing that if Faried starts seeing more minutes, it will be at the expense of Gary Harris and Will Barton, not Chandler. Chandler should continue to start with Danilo Gallinari out. He has hit 6x value in three of the four games with Gallinari out, and has a nice matchup with the Knicks tonight.

Otto Porter ($6,600): Porter has topped 6x value in each of the last two games. If Markieff Morris‘s calf is still bugging him, Porter could be in line for another big game. Even with Morris in the lineup, Porter put up 61 DraftKings points in two games against Indiana earlier this year.

Dark Horses:

Matt Barnes ($5,600): Barnes is coming off of the bench, but he is still playing more than 30 minutes a game with the rash of injuries that the Kings have. Barnes has averaged 31.4 DraftKings points per game with Garrett Temple and Rudy Gay out. There is no reason to abandon ship now.

Brandon Ingram ($4,400): Ingram has averaged 26.5 DraftKings points per game since being inserted into the starting lineup. With Jabari Parker out again, Ingram could have lots of room to create against a Bucks team that has really struggled with small forwards this year.

Khris Middleton ($3,600): The Bucks are still going to treat him with kid gloves, so don’t expect him to pick up a lot of Parker’s minutes right away. He likely will still only play 20 minutes at the most, but we all know what Middleton is capable of when healthy. There is upside here if you are willing to gamble.

My Pick: Chandler(SF), Barnes(F); N/A

Power Forwards

Best Bets:

Paul Millsap ($7,600): DeMarcus Cousins only picked up 35.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Hawks. Millsap torched Boogie for 48.75 DraftKings points. Millsap had been below 5x value in five straight games before getting back on track against Denver on Wednesday. Can you trust him again yet?

Kristaps Porzingis ($6,900): Porzingis is finally starting to show flashes of the player he was before he missed half of January with an injury. He has gone over 40 DraftKings points twice in the last four games. Even though Denver is tough against power forwards, Porzingis put up 41 points against them in the first meeting. He still carries some risk, but if he hits 40 again, you are way ahead of the game.

Honorable Mention:

James Johnson ($6,000): I don’t really trust LaMarcus Aldridge against the Pistons, so Johnson against Brooklyn looks like a much safer play. His minutes have been back to 30 over the last two games, and his production has followed suit. Johnson has more than 5x value in five of the last seven games. He has even topped 7x value twice in that span.

Terrence Jones ($5,500): Jones has been starting lately, but his production has not stabilized as us DFS players hoped it would. He had a nice game against a tough Utah squad on Wednesday. He also put up 30.75 DraftKings points on the Timberwolves in the first outing. Keep an eye on the starting lineup. If Jones is in there, he is an intriguing play.

Julius Randle ($5,400): Randle’s minutes were limited for most of the last ten days while he was battling pneumonia. He played 30 minutes in a battle against Detroit on Wednesday, so he should be fine. The interesting part here is that Jabari Parker is out. The Bucks are still statistically the best team against power forwards, but a lot of that was thanks to Parker. Randle could have a big game tonight.

Dark Horses:

Gorgui Dieng ($5,000): At this price, DIeng has the potential to be a steal. He picked up 29.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting against the Pelicans. He has also also topped 5x value in six of the last nine games. Dieng could provide some value, and wont be widely used.

Jon Leuer ($4,500): Leuer has at least 5x value in each of the last four games. The Pistons are using him liberally, and why not? He is producing at a pretty high level off the bench. He could for you too. The Spurs are still a little thin up front with Pau Gasol still sidelined.

Mirza Teletovic ($3,000): Teletovic will presumably get the first crack at starting for Jabari Parker. Just be aware that Michael Beasley will get a fair shot at taking control of this job as well. Beasley is only $900 more, so whomever receives the start is a good one to roll the dice with tonight against the Lakers.

My pick: Johnson(PF); Randle(PF), Dieng(F)

DraftKings
Feb 6, 2017; New Orleans, LA, USA; New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis (23) against the Phoenix Suns during the second half at the Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans won 111-106. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports /

Center

Best Bets:

Anthony Davis ($10,100): Towns has been better on defense lately, but not to the point where I would consider avoiding Brow. Davis had 68.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Timberwolves. Even at this price, he has hit 6x value in three of the last six games. 6x value at this price is rare. Having it occur that frequently is unheard of.

Nikola Jokic ($9,200): Jokic hasn’t reached the level that he was at before the injury, but he is getting there. A matchup against the awful Knicks could vault him back into the upper 50’s in a hurry. He played 34 minutes against Atlanta on Wednesday. It seems that he is ready for that kind of workload again.

More from FanSided

Honorable Mention:

Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,000): Towns wasn’t much of a factor against the Pelicans the first time around. He only mustered 32.25 DraftKings points in that game, but he may as well be a different player now than he was early on. Towns has three straight games with over 5x value, and has hit that mark in ten of his last 12 games. It could be a nice battle between Davis and KAT tonight.

Hassan Whiteside ($8,500): Whiteside has four straight games of over 5x value after a rough stretch at the end of January. He has also struggled against the Nets this year. That’s right…..the Nets. In two games against Brooklyn, Whiteside has 40.5 DraftKings points. He can’t be that bad against them again, can he? The Nets are so weak everywhere that the wings have dominated, leaving little left over for Whiteside. There is risk involved here.

Andre Drummond ($7,700): Drummond’s last two games have resulted in 7x value and 8x value respectively. It would be foolish to expect that against the Spurs tonight, but they aren’t nearly as tough up front without Gasol in there. I could see him getting close to 6x value. He picked up 44.25 DraftKings points against the Spurs with Gasol in there earlier this year.

Dark Horses:

Dwight Howard ($6,700): Howard has been one of the most inconsistent players in the league this year. However, the Kings are atrocious up front even when they are at full strength. Howard put up 41.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting. That is close to 7x value if he can pull it off again.

Marcin Gortat ($6,100): Gortat is never anything flashy, but he has at least 6x value in seven consecutive games. There are few at any price level that can boast that kind of consistency. Gortat put up 80.25 DraftKings points in two games against the Pacers earlier this year. Expect another strong game from Gortat again.

Willie Cauley-Stein ($3,800): Cauley-Stein has picked up at least 7x value in six of the last ten games. However, he has been as low at 2.5x value in that span. The Hawks are decent up front, but he is mostly outplaying starter Kosta Koufos right now. If he sees 20 minutes, he will blow 6x value away.

My pick: Gortat(C); Davis(C), Cauley-Stein(UTIL)
