Jordan Bell’s game-winner helps Oregon defeat Stanford
The Oregon Ducks finished their Bay Area sweep in dramatic fashion.
With 14 seconds left in the game, junior forward Jordan Bell scored on a putback to help the No. 6 Oregon Ducks move past Stanford, 75-73.
Three days ago, Dillion Brooks scored a last-second, tiebreaking 3-pointer to give the Ducks a 68-65 win over the California Golden Bears. It was the second Bay Area sweep in the conference since 1976.
The game was tied at 73 when Ducks guard Dylan Ennis missed a three-pointer. Before the shot clock expired, guard Payton Pritchard would have a second chance to put the Ducks in the lead, but missed off the rim. Bell put back the missed opportunity to give the Ducks the victory.
Bell would finish the game shooting 6-for-7 from the field with 13 points and five rebounds. The Cardinals trailed throughout the game down by as many as 12 points. Cardinals forward Reid Travis brought the team back in the game with his 27 points and 14 rebounds, but turned the ball over on the last possession.

The Ducks were outrebounded throughout the game 37-25 for the game. However, they finished with four offensive rebounds in the final possession.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Stanford (14-14) continues their struggles this season finishing 0-8 against ranked opponents. With their tournament hopes in shambles, they will play their last final two games on the road against Colorado and Utah.
The Ducks finish the month of February off with a 7-1 record only losing to UCLA 82-79 on a late three from Lonzo Ball. They have one more road game remaining against in-state rivals Oregon State, who ranks last in the conference.
