DraftKings NHL Picks:
Rasmus Ristolainen – BUF (D) – $5800
Buffalo finds themselves among the best projected team totals, as they host the visiting Phoenix Coyotes. Given the matchup, stud defenseman, Rasmus Ristolainen will have additional upside. Ristolainen checks every box; from time on the ice (26.36 minutes per game), to shots on goal (2.64 per game over the last month), and to blocks (2.07 per game over the last month). His averages are well above his required points to meet value, and any additional tallies on the score sheet are just a bonus.

Roman Josi – NAS (D) – $6400
Roman Josi is very similar to Ristolainen, in that his fantasy floor is one of the safest on the slate. Josi continues to see around 24 minutes per game, including 30 in his last outing. Josi is averaging 3.67 shots and 1.92 blocks per game, over the past month. He has seen a bump in his price, but if you can find the salary, I’d recommend plugging in Josi for his safety.
Ryan O’Reilly – BUF (C) – $6300
As previously mentioned, Buffalo is in an advantageous matchup tonight, and Ryan O’Reilly should be able to take advantage. O’Reilly is leading all Buffalo forwards in time on the ice, with 21.62 this month. In addition to his time on the ice, O’Reilly has tremendous upside from his time on the top power play unit. Buffalo’s power play ranks as the 4th best in the league and will matchup against Arizona’s penalty kill, the 6th worst.
Kyle Palmieri – NJD (W) – $4700
Kyle Palmieri is a moderately price value play tonight and could provide some cap relief up front. While the matchup with the Capitals may be daunting, Palmieri has the ability to accrue fantasy production through peripheral stats. Palmieri is averaging 3.18 shots and .45 blocks per game this month. He’s also seen an increase in playing time of late, playing over 19 minutes per game in his last four contests. This has moved his monthly playing time up nearly a full minute from his yearly average.
