adidas Football Unveiled The 2017 adizero 5-Star 6.0 “Gold Pack” Cleats

Adidas Football upped the ante today with the announcement of the adizero 5-Star 6.0 “Gold Pack” cleats, making the lightest cleat in the game now one of the most stylish as well, thanks to a gold snakeskin-inspired upper that’s sandwiched by one of six different color options.

From adidas:

"Designed for speed and built for playmakers, the adizero is lighter than any competitor cleat. The adizero 5-Star 6.0 “Gold Pack” is fabricated from a lightweight, flexible a SPRINTSKIN for added durability. The new lightweight single-construction SPRINTFRAME plate features an external heel counter and strategically placed SPRINTSTUDS, along with a forefoot rotational traction zone for the optimum blend of speed and traction."

As mentioned, the cleat is available in six colors to choose from — white, red, royal blue, navy, green, and black — with each option equipped with its own unique snakeskin pattern.

So it’s not simply about choosing your favorite color, it’s about the whole damn thing.

If I had to choose a personal favorite, I would be left with no choice but to go with gold and white.

It’s just not possible to go wrong with gold and white shoes, whether we’re talking cleats, sneakers, or your finest pair of dancin’ shoes.

The “Gold Pack” release is just the latest in a string of cleat drops by adidas as the brand continues to make a ton of football noise with big names already on board like Von Miller, Adrian Peterson, Eric Berry, and DeMarco Murray, among others.

As Snoop Dogg would say as only he can, “G’d up from the feet up.”

Given Snoop’s seemingly endless reach and undeniable popularity, especially when it comes to pro athletes — seriously, the dude is everywhere — expect that list of NFL stars to continue growing.

The 2017 adizero 5-Star 6.0 “Gold Pack” cleats are already available and can be had for $120 a pop at adidas, Eastbay, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
