Here we are again for another great weekend of FanDuel EPL DFS action! There are ten teams playing on this Saturday’s main Premier League slate. We have you covered for tips, picks, analysis and lineups to help you cash big in FanDuel EPL soccer this weekend!
Last weekend featured two totally different slates. Saturday was an inexpensive slate, full of the bottom clubs. I went to fade most of the higher priced stars as they were all chalk. This almost paid off but a late Joshua King and a Dusan Tadic missed penalty in a 5 minute window sunk the line below cashing. Sunday was better but the bad luck continued with Luke Shaw leaving with an injury after only 8 minutes. This meant the line cashed in 50/50’s and a few GPP’s but fell painfully short in others.
This Saturday it is largely the lower teams again but with Everton on the slate it gives a few higher priced attacking options. The main issue with the slate is that it contains a number of end-of-season games that can fizzle out to nothing or explode with opportunity through lazy defending. The one game where both teams will be competitive is Swansea v Everton and the safest game to build around.
The team sheets come out an hour before kick off 9:00am ET and I’ll be tweeting out changes and surprises. You can follow me @DavidGateSports for updates and @FantasyCPR for the lineups.
The best EPL DFS lineups have 4x value to $1k of FanDuel budget. These lineups are for GPP play and not cash games. With so much value on this slate reaching value for each player on Saturday won’t be hard. The key will be moving to 5 or 6x value. Let’s look at the players to target for a big cash payout on Saturday morning!

FanDuel EPL DFS Goalkeepers
Usually on FanDuel I am looking for high production keepers and not chasing clean sheets as there is greater upside in GPP play for busy keepers. This week I am going to chase the clean sheet with so many games that are hard to predict. My best bet for a 0-0 game is Burnley v West Brom. This game has an 4/7 odds on being under 2.5 goals in the game. By far the shortest odds on the slate. These two long-ball teams are perfectly matched to cancel each other out. Tom Heaton (7500) is better set for the clean sheet and a few saves but you have to pay up to get him. I feel fine also going to Ben Foster (6400) in this matchup.
Sunderland are relegated and can’t score. This means you have to consider Eldin Jakupovic (7100) a great play. He has two clean sheets in a row and Hull have strong home pedigree. Again you have to pay up to get that security. I rarely feel good about paying above $7k for a GK because there is far less upside to a $7k keeper than there is to a $7k midfielder. I consider Jakupovic a cash game play this week.
Watford are safe from relegation, struggling with injuries and out of form. I love Kasper Schmeichel (6900) to keep a clean sheet this week. He has the added upside of being the most talented keeper on this slate. He is the most likely to make a great save if he needs to.

FanDuel EPL DFS Defenders
As I mentioned Burnley and West Brom are evenly matched. Two long-ball teams who will be exchanging barrages of low percentage hopeful punts forward. This game will be 90 minutes of ‘head tennis’! Because of this I am very high on all the center backs in this game who could very well rack up double-digit figures in clearances. For West Brom that means both Gareth McAuley (6100) and Jonny Evans (5900) are in play. McAuley always carries a goal threat at set-pieces and is the taller, better header of the two. On the other side I like both Ben Mee (6400) and Michael Keane (6300) although they are priced higher. If Mee misses out then I love James Tarkowski (5500) at a low price.
Elsewhere I love Federico Fernandez (6300) as he matches up against Romelu Lukaku. The Swansea defender has shown great consistency on DFS recently with over 20 FanDuel EPL points in 4 out of his last 5 games.
Sunderland were relegated last weekend and deservedly so after a season of dross under the terrible leadership of David Moyes. This week they make a very interesting case in DFS. I think it is very likely they give starts to some of the younger players they will need next year in the Championship as they look to shed some bigger contracts. In defense that means Donald Love (5200) is set to play. He has 20+ and 34+ FanDuel points in his last two starts and will be desperate to prove himself as part of Sunderland’s future. Papy Djilobodji (5100) is another to watch out for.

FanDuel EPL DFS Midfielders
The Swansea v Everton game is the one I am looking to stack as it is the only game that truly matters for both teams. Everton desperately want to catch Arsenal and/or Man Utd for a Europa League spot. With Hull set to beat Sunderland it means Swansea will have to win to keep pace with them. My favorite midfield play of the day is Idrissa Gueye (8300). Last week against Chelsea he had 27.5 FanDuel EPL points whilst shutting down Eden Hazard for only 6.75pts. I am expecting him to do the same job this week against Gylfi Sigurdsson (9900) who is Swansea’s only real threat.
Question: why have I put Gylfi in bold too? Well two reasons; even though I don’t like his chances from open play, his set-pieces alone are usually worth 12-18 FD points. Also Swansea have to win, which means they have to score. They will be throwing everything at Everton in the last 20 minutes and I want a piece of their best player.
The Bournemouth v Stoke game is the hardest one for me to predict. Both teams are safe with no shot of Europe places. These games are the ones that often fizzle into nothing. Yet Bournemouth can’t defend for shiitake. If both sides score in the first half then it could be a goal fest. Therefore I am going to have one lineup with this game represented. For Stoke I love Xherdan Shaqiri (6700) who has tremendous GPP upside for his price. Ryan Fraser (5700) is always a solid piece to add to your lineup.
One name I’m expecting to see on the Sunderland lineup this week is George Honeyman (4600). He came on last week and got 14 FanDuel points in just 35 minutes. He is a local lad playing for his future and the pride of his home team. I am locking him in every lineup this week.

FanDuel EPL Forwards
It will be another chalk week for Romelu Lukaku (11600). He is the league’s top scorer playing in the only game that is competitive for both sides. He will be 50% owned I’m sure. I have had very little luck fading chalk over the last couple of weeks so I will be paying up to have him. Swansea have rank last for goals against and he is the leading scorer in the league. It is too stupid to fade him this week. He also comes in at $1k less than the highest price for forwards on FanDuel. There are other ways to save budget with Sunderland value.
The two other chalk forwards on Saturday will be in form strikers Joshua King (10500) and Jamie Vardy (9600). King has 11 goals in his past 12 games. That is incredible form. His price now reflects that and is in the elite $10k category. Jamie Vardy (9600) is also on fire with 7 goals in his last 9 games. I’m slightly higher on King this week as his game is more likely to have over 2.5 goals. I will have a GPP lineup this week where I just pair them up and let them do their thing.
Where can you look for a forward that isn’t chalk on Saturday? Marko Arnautovic (8100) is a high floor forward to plays a lot in midfield. His matchup is good and I like him in a stack with Shaqiri. I am expecting Hull to defeat Sunderland and so Oumar Niasse (7600) is a nice punt for a goal. He has a very low floor so you will need that goal to make him worth it but is a good GPP play. One value Sunderland name to look out for: Lynden Gooch (3700) an American forward who they like there.
