Welcome again to our DraftKings EPL soccer column where we have all the best picks and tips for you to cash in Premier League DFS. There are 5 games on the DraftKings slate and we are ready to take down a GPP or two!

Last week saw us cash in GPP with Joshua King and Ryan Fraser combining in our Bournemouth stack. Dusan Tadic missed a late penalty that would have pushed us much higher. Such is the life of the DFS player.

This Saturday it is largely the lower teams in action but with Everton on the slate it gives a few higher priced attacking options. The main issue with the slate is that it contains a number of end-of-season games that can fizzle out to nothing or explode with opportunity through lazy defending. The one game where both teams will be competitive is Swansea v Everton and the safest game to build around.

The team sheets come out an hour before kick off 9:00am ET and I’ll be tweeting out changes and surprises. You can follow me @DavidGateSports for updates and @FantasyCPR for the lineups.

The best EPL DFS lineups have 3x value to $1k of DraftKings budget. These lineups are for GPP play and not cash games. You can also read my FanDuel article here.

DraftKings EPL DFS Goalkeepers

Sunderland are relegated and can’t score. This means you have to consider Eldin Jakupovic (5500) a great play. He has two clean sheets in a row and Hull have strong home pedigree. Again you have to pay up to get that security.

Watford are safe from relegation, struggling with injuries and out of form. I love Kasper Schmeichel (5700) to keep a clean sheet this week. He has the added upside of being the most talented keeper on this slate. He is the most likely to make a great save if he needs to.

My best bet for a 0-0 game is Burnley v West Brom. This game has an 4/7 odds on being under 2.5 goals in the game. By far the shortest odds on the slate. These two long-ball teams are perfectly matched to cancel each other out. Tom Heaton (5200) is better set for the clean sheet and the win bonus. I feel fine also going to Ben Foster (4500) in this match-up with a good chance of a shut out.

DraftKings EPL DFS Defenders

Sunderland were relegated last weekend and deservedly so after a season of dross under the terrible leadership of David Moyes. This week they make a very interesting case in DFS. I think it is very likely they give starts to some of the younger players they will need next year in the Championship as they look to shed some bigger contracts. In defense that means Donald Love (3500) is set to play. He has 8 and 15 DraftKings points in his last two starts and will be desperate to prove himself as part of Sunderland’s future.

Everton’s system makes the most of the full backs in attacking roles. In a great match-up against a vulnerable Swansea side I am looking Leighton Baines (5000) as a high upside option. He has numerous set piece duties including penalties which is a huge plus for any player, especially a defender. Mason Holgate (4500) on the other side of the field is also a fine play.

Ahmed Elmohamady (3900) helped one of my lines to cash last week and I’m going back to him again. With Hull desperate to attack in their relegation battle the Egyptian will see a lot of action going forward. He is also a great shot for the clean sheet bonus against Sunderland’s anemic forwards.

DraftKings EPL DFS Midfielders

With Hull in full attack mode I am high on their creative midfielders Kamil Grosicki (7100) and Sam Clucas (4300). While Grosicki is the more talented of the two it has been the rags-to-riches story of Clucas that has the edge for me. He has fought is way into the first team and beyond to be one of their key players. In a must win game I am huge on Clucas this week on DraftKings.

The Bournemouth v Stoke game is the hardest one for me to predict. Both teams are safe with no shot of Europe places. These games are the ones that often fizzle into nothing. Yet Bournemouth can’t defend for shiitake. If both sides score in the first half then it could be a goal fest. Therefore I am going to have one lineup with this game represented. For Stoke I love Xherdan Shaqiri (8100) who has tremendous GPP upside for his price. Ryan Fraser (7700) is always a solid piece to add to your lineup.

One name I’m expecting to see on the Sunderland lineup this week is George Honeyman (3000). He came on last week and got 6 DraftKings points in just 35 minutes! He is a local lad playing for his future and the pride of his home team. I love his value.

It will be another chalk week for Romelu Lukaku (9500). He is the league’s top scorer playing in the only game that is competitive for both sides. He will be 50% owned I’m sure. I have had very little luck fading chalk over the last couple of weeks so I will be paying up to have him. Swansea have rank last for goals against and he is the leading scorer in the league. It is too stupid to fade him this week.

The two other chalk forwards on Saturday will be in form strikers Joshua King (8000) and Jamie Vardy (8200). King has 11 goals in his past 12 games. That is incredible form. His price now reflects that and is in the elite $8k category. Jamie Vardy (9600) is also on fire with 7 goals in his last 9 games. I’m slightly higher on King this week as his game is more likely to have over 2.5 goals. I can find plenty of value elsewhere so I am going to load up at least one lineup with all three chalk forwards.

Where can you look for a forward that isn’t chalk on Saturday? Marko Arnautovic (7800) is a high floor forward to plays a lot in midfield. His matchup is good and I like him in a stack with Shaqiri. I am expecting Hull to defeat Sunderland and so Oumar Niasse (5300) is a nice punt for a goal. He has a very low floor so you will need that goal to make him worth it but is a good GPP play. One value Sunderland name to look out for: Lynden Gooch (3700) an American forward who they like there.
