Welcome to the last FanDuel EPL DFS article of the season! Thirty eight weeks after the season began and here we are on the last weekend. All 20 teams are in action on the last day of the season so we have the biggest FanDuel DFS slate of the year. We have you covered for how to cash in the big Premier League season finale!
There are ten games on the slate but only three that have consequence to the final standings. Arsenal v Everton, Liverpool v Middlesbrough and Watford v Manchester City. These games will determine the final Champions League placings and which teams had a good season or a terrible one.
As we have seen over the last few weeks there are lots of players being rested or given the opportunity to shine. With 20 teams there will be tons of value, alternate plays and low ownership in GPP. To break down this slate I am going to have two lineups. Strong & Stable; are players you can depend on in. Let’s Get Weird; overlooked players who could do well on this big slate.
The team sheets come out an hour before kick off 9:00am ET on Sunday and I’ll be tweeting out changes and surprises. You can follow me @DavidGateSports for updates and @FantasyCPR for the lineups. Now let’s delve deep into this game!

FanDuel EPL DFS Goalkeepers
The three Champions League teams will be those totally on the front foot. All three have to win and two are playing at home. I would put all three of these keepers as strong probabilities for clean sheets; Mignolet (6400) against Boro’s weak attack; Cech (7000) who has 4 CS in the last 6 games; Caballero (6300) is the weaker of the three but still not a bad play.
Inversely the keepers they are facing should all be very busy though they have very little chance of clean sheets. Gomes (6600) faces City who are currently the most fluid attacking side of the three. Guzan (6500) has been terrible recently but Anfield could get very nervy if Liverpool don’t score early. Robles (6600) is the perhaps my favorite of these three.
My favorite GK pick on the whole slate is Jordan Pickford (7200). After watching Chelsea not let up against Watford on Tuesday I imagine they will do the same at home to Sunderland. Pickford is a great shot stopper and should have tons of opportunity to rack up saves. This is a good play to match with Chelsea FWDs as Pickford will have plenty of points even without the clean sheet bonus.
Now let’s get weird… in the midweek games Sergio Romero (6100) put up a huge 37 FanDuel point total as United limped along to another 0-0 draw. They are at home to Palace on Sunday and I expect another clean sheet at a bargain price.
Ink in Asmir Begovic (6100) for Chelsea to get 16-18 FanDuel points which is a nice safe floor.

FanDuel EPL DFS Defenders
First thing I look at for defenders is who is playing against Burnley? Even in a meaningless game last week Burnley pumped the ball into box and Bournemouth’s center back pairing combined for 50 FanDuel points. This week Burnley will be hosting West Ham. Winston Reid is missing which makes James Collins (5700) my top defensive play of the day. Jose Fonte (6200) is also a fine play but I prefer Collins’ price and upside.
The absolute safest defensive play on any week is James Milner (7200). You have to pay up to get him but he gives you a safe 3x value floor while having elite upside for a defender. I’m happy to pay the premium this week against Boro who are weak on their right side. Liverpool will be attacking all game so assists are very much in play for Liverpool’s penalty taker.
Everton will be on the back foot all game so I feel very good about having either Phi Jagielka (6800) or Mason Holgate (5900) in my lineups.
Now let’s get weird… Swansea is my sneak play to dominate today and are likely to be overlooked. They are at home against a West Brom side that gave up in March. The relief of Premier League safety could mean they play freer than they have all season. The two full backs are the defenders that appeal to me here Kyle Naughton (5900) and Martin Olsson (5200). Spurs went nuts on Thursday and Hull will be busy on Sunday. Michael Dawson (6000) is a great play here against his old side.

FanDuel EPL DFS Midfielders
Philippe Coutinho (10900) heads up the midfield slate after his monster 77 FanDuel points day last week. He is a great play again today but I do want to see how Liverpool lineup. If he plays deeper like he did last week then I like him a little less. I want to roster the Liverpool player who starts on the left. That was Adam Lallana (8900) against West Ham. He is $2k cheaper, will have much low ownership and has the same upside in this game.
With Schneiderlin out with injury and Barkley struggling for form Idrissa Gueye (9200) has taken over the Everton midfield. He is now the dominate defensive and creative force at the heart of their team. Possession heavy Arsenal will provide Gana with opportunity to make scads of tackles. He is the definition of a Strong & Stable pick for this slate.
Two Spanish midfielders are in great form and I’m expecting them to carry into this weekend. Cesc Fabregas (9100) and Oriol Romeu (6700) have been very dependable FanDuel picks recently and both should have freedom on Sunday to dominate their respective games. Even on a big slate these two may be a little chalky.
Now let’s get weird…. Lee Cattermole (4800) will be running around after Fabregas all afternoon. Any lineup where I want to build in expensive players will need some value and he is a great option. Watching Leicester collapse on Thursday has made me very interested in Bournemouth attackers. Junior Stanislas (6500) has real high-end upside for his price at this matchup. In the same game I like Daniel Amartey (5300) who will be on no-one’s radar. This is a game I will stack in one lineup.

FanDuel EPL DFS Forwards
With so much variance on the slate there are two ways to play. Chase the maximum points (obviously) in the spread or narrow the field by using stacks. If you are stacking forwards this week there are two clear options; Arsenal – Sanchez (12600) & Giroud (10200); and Man City – Aguero (10800) & Jesus (10600). I would lean to Man City as they are slightly cheaper and both play as true forwards.
The pound for pound best value on this slate is Daniel Sturridge (9100). I was already interested in him when I expected his price to be around $10k now he is just over $9k I love him. His talent and finishing should put him in the highest tier of Forwards but injuries have limited him. He looked great last week and is the most likely scorer in a must win game for Liverpool. Lock him in.
Harry Kane (12000) scored 4 goals on Thursday for 100 (ONE HUNDRED) FanDuel points. Spurs clearly want to give him the Golden Boot trophy and he is inline to score again this week. I am happy to fade him on the big slate in what will be high ownership with so many other options. The other chalky forward will be Batshuayi (10800) will get to impress against a rancid Sunderland defense.
Now let’s get weird…. with so many awesome Forwards available I think a lot of the lower priced options will go drastically under owned. My favorites are Llorente (8700) against complacent West Brom and Sam Vokes (7300) at home to middling West Ham. If you want a super cheap play then I like Patrick Bamford (5900) on the break against Liverpool.
