MLB DFS Value Plays for DraftKings and FanDuel June 21st

I’ll be looking to uncover the most obvious MLB DFS Value Plays on each slate, and each site. Value plays will generally consist of under-priced players, or players priced differently on a given site. Some values will be in play on both sites, some will only be values on one specific site. Note that value tends to carry higher ownership and may be worth a fade in specific GPP contests.

Tonight’s slate features 11 games, with Colorado (6.3), New York (6.3), Minnesota (5.9), and Texas (5.6), holding the best projected team totals. With high priced players available, finding value will be critical for success tonight. Here are a handful of value plays on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

DraftKings MLB Values:

Miguel Sano – MIN (3B) – $3900

Minnesota will host the Chicago White Soxs tonight, in a game in which the Twins are projected to score 5.9 runs. Given this favorable projection, righty batters such as, Miguel Sano, should be considered. Sano is severely underpriced on DraftKings at only $3900. This is over $1000 cheaper than where he was priced just a few weeks ago. Sano should be able to take advantage of the matchup against a lefty, as he holds a .378 wOBA split and a .282 ISO split. Given the team total, spot in the order (3rd), price decrease, matchup, and power upside, Sano is one of the best value plays on DraftKings.

Carlos Gonzalez – COL (OF) – $3600

While Carlos Gonzalez has struggled for most of the 2017 season, one of his few bright spots came last night, as he recorded a home run and scored 17 DraftKings’ points. I wont go as far to say he’s trending in the right direction, but given the price and Colorado’s projected team total, he’ll be in play. Colorado has the best projected team total (6.3), and if Gonzalez is batting fifth, he should offer value at this price. Gonzalez is one of the cheaper batters on Colorado tonight, as they are priced up due to the matchup.

FanDuel MLB Values:

Francisco Lindor – CLE (SS) – $3200

Cleveland will stay in Baltimore tonight, in hopes to redeem their loss last night. They have a favorable projection of 5.4 runs and shortstop, Francisco Lindor, is much cheaper on FanDuel, relative to DraftKings. Lindor is simply too cheap for a lead off batter on a team with a total as high as this. He’ll also draw a benefit from hitting in a fairly hitter friendly ball park.

More from FanSided

Lonnie Chisenhall – CLE (OF) – $2900

Lonnie Chisenhall has added an infusion of offense to this Indians team of late, and is in another good spot on FanDuel at only $2900. Like Lindor, he’s much cheaper on FanDuel, relative to DraftKings. Chisenhall’s price hasn’t changed much, but his recent batted ball stats have increased tremendously. In the last 15 days, his distance is up 26 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 15%, and his exit velocity is up 5 MPH. When a batter is hitting the ball this well, we tend to see a price increase. However, with no change in price, Chisenhall may be under priced given his recent performances.

Gregory Polanco – PIT (OF) – $2900

Gregory Polanco has seen his price fall below the $3000 mark, as he hasn’t had the best month of June. However, in his most recent games he’s showed more signs of life, and could be in a favorable spot to continue that tonight. He’ll face the righty, Junior Guerra, and he holds a .297 wOBA vs. righties. If Polanco is batting third, he could make for a viable punt option.
