With plenty of moves this offseason, people love to see when players square off with their old teams on the NBA schedule. Here are some of the matchups.

The NBA schedule release has a lot of interesting pieces to look at, between the opening night games, the Christmas Day schedule and the games that will be nationally televised. One often overlooked piece is when players will have the chance to square off against their old homes after free agency or trades.

After LeBron James left Miami to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, along with his departure for Miami before that, that was the most sought after “revenge” type of game on the schedule. This offseason, depending on what happens with the Kyrie Irving situation, it looks like the trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves will be one of those games to look out for.

The Timberwolves and the Chicago Bulls will square off on national television on Feb. 9 in Chicago, where Butler will get his first return to action in Chicago. The Bulls will have another face-off with an old friend in Derrick Rose when they play the Cavaliers on Oct. 24.

Jeff Teague will get his chance to battle the Atlanta Hawks alongside his fellow Timberwolves on Jan. 29.

Paul George will be a big name to watch, as he and his new home team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, will battle the Indiana Pacers on Dec. 13 in Indy, while they will compete in OKC on Oct. 25.

Another huge name in free agency with a little less animosity to it is Chris Paul, and fans will want to see his first battle on the Houston Rockets with the Los Angeles Clippers in L.A. on Dec. 22.

JJ Redick will get an opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to battle the Clippers as well as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 13.

The Boston Celtics will travel to Utah to play the Jazz on March 28, so Gordon Hayward will have to wait a long time to play his old team in his old home this season. They will battle on Dec. 15 in Boston, but it without a doubt won’t have the same impact.

Kelly “The Clinic” Olynyk will get his chance to prove to Boston that he was worth the money the Miami Heat spent on him, as they will battle on Oct. 28 in Miami.

One more big signing was Paul Milsap heading off to the Denver Nuggets from the Atlanta Hawks, and those two teams will go head-to-head on Oct. 27.

Tim Hardaway Jr. was one of the names to make waves this offseason for the absurd amount of money that the New York Knicks spent on him in free agency, and he’ll have the chance on Nov. 24 to go up against his old Hawks and prove his talents.

There are plenty of players out there looking to get revenge, or meeting old friends in some cases, against their old teams, and you can check out the whole schedule here if you’re looking to mark some games on your calendar.
