MLB DFS Value Plays DraftKings FanDuel September 1st
MLB DFS Value Plays DraftKings and FanDuel September 1st
I’ll be looking to uncover the most obvious MLB DFS Value Plays on each slate, and each site. Value plays will generally consist of under-priced players, or players priced differently on a given site. Some values will be in play on both sites, some will only be values on one specific site. Note that value tends to carry higher ownership and may be worth a fade in specific GPP contests.
Tonight’s slate features 13 games, with Colorado (6.1), Arizona (6), and Baltimore (5.4), holding the best projected team totals. With high priced players available tonight, finding value will be critical to success. Here are a handful of value plays on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
MLB DFS Value Plays: DraftKings
Chris Iannetta – ARI (C) – $3500
Arizona will travel to Coors Field, to take on the Rockies, and are projected to score six runs. Catcher, Chris Iannetta, should be batting second, and is still underpriced given his spot in the order (2nd). Iannetta has been batting in the two hole of late, yet he’s priced down relative to the other Arizona batters. Arizona is priced down in general on DraftKings, whereas they are much more expensive on FanDuel. Iannetta will face a lefty, where he holds a .404 wOBA split and a .227 ISO split.
Brandon Drury – ARI (2B) – $3400
Brandon Drury has the most drastic price difference between the two sites, as he only costs $3400 on DraftKings. Like Iannetta, Drury will benefit from facing a lefty. He currently holds a .337 wOBA split and a .213 ISO split. Drury has been hitting the ball much better of late. In the last 15 days, his distance is up 24 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 11%, and his exit velocity is up 4 MPH.
Adam Rosales – ARI (SS) – $3200
If we dig a bit deeper down the Diamondbacks lineup, we’ll find Adam Rosales, who is also a relatively good bargain on DraftKings tonight. Rosales wont be batting in the most advantageous spot in the lineup, but he is much more effective against left handed pitching. Rosales holds a .348 wOBA split (.086 better than when facing a righty), and a .236 ISO split (.096 better than when facing a righty).

MLB DFS Value Plays: FanDuel
Mark Reynolds – COL (1B) – $3600
If you’re looking to target the other side of the Arizona/Colorado matchup, consider Mark Reynolds on FanDuel. Reynolds is much cheaper on FanDuel, relaitive to DraftKings. Reynolds should be batting fifth tonight, and will benefit from facing a righty. Reynolds holds reverse splits, with a .383 wOBA split and a .254 ISO split. In the last 15 days, his distance is up 38 feet, his hard hit percentage is up 11%, and his exit velocity is up 5 MPH.
Kevin Kiermaier – TB (OF) – $3400
Tampa Bay will face the White Soxs tonight and they have a favorable projection of 5.1 runs. Kevin Kiermaier should be leading off for the Rays and is fairly cheap on FanDuel. Kiermaier offers a unique combination of power upside, as well as, stolen base upside. He averages .041 home runs per at bat and .188 stolen bases per game.
