Welcome back from the international break and we have a six game slate to take down in FanDuel EPL soccer. We have all the tips and picks to help you cash this weekend!
The international break is brutal! It’s great to have Premier League soccer back and two nice FanDuel slates for Saturday. I am going to be writing about the main slate but I’ll certainly be playing the All Day slate too. That slate has all the top 7 clubs and will be a fun ride too.
This article is going to be a little shorter than normal as I had to spend the whole day traveling yesterday as I was leaving Florida before Hurricane Irma comes into town. Apologies that it is not as expansive as usual. The plus side is you are really getting my favorite picks narrowed down!
We had a fantastic weekend last time out, cashing on both days with big scores. I really like this main slate this week as I think there is a golden opportunity to take advantage of some matchups.
Make sure to check lineups before kick off. There will be many changes this week as players come back tired or injured from international duty. The Champions League group stages start this week and so there will be rotation in some teams with that in mind too.
I’ll be on Twitter @davidgatesports to chat through lineups on Saturday from 9am EST. Happy to give advice with any surprises on the team sheets.
So let’s get at it and see who are the top picks this week on FanDuel EPL DFS soccer!

FanDuel EPL Goalkeeper:
I won’t be paying up for a keeper this week. While Schmeichel is in the best spot, and he proved last time out with a penalty save he can get points with out a clean sheet, I just don’t trust the Chelsea forwards to create high volumes of shots.
Therefore I am going to keep it simple and spend under $5k on a keeper who I think will get a clean sheet. My pick for this week is Southampton goalie Fraser Forster (4500). He has two clean sheets in his first two games and they look very solid at the back. He is matching up at home to Watford who were unable to score versus Brighton as they try to find their best forward line.
FanDuel EPL Defenders
One player I love to target against top 6 sides is Geoff Cameron(4500) for Stoke City. He often plays as a defensive midfielder in these games and is up against Manchester United this week who should see the bulk of possession and attack regularly.
I’m expecting Arsenal to bring back Sead Kolasinac (5000) after their humiliation to Liverpool last time out. He will play left-wing back now Oxlade-Chamberlain has left. In what promises to be a very open game against Bournemouth.
Also don’t over think Marco Alonso (7500). He is averaging over 4 FanDuel points per $1k of budget and has a good matchup with Leicester. He is fine in GPP and a must for cash.

FanDuel EPL Midfielders
Last time I picked an Arsenal stack they ran out a dud against Stoke. They followed that up by losing badly to Liverpool. Yet I am not afraid to go back as they have an elite matchup and will want to prove people wrong. They scored six goals in two games against Bournemouth last season. I have Granit Xhaka (8000) as a must start in all formats this week. I’m also not afraid of picking Mesut Ozil (10500) as the ownership will be low and he is in a good spot.
The Chelsea midfield are also in a good matchup versus Leicester. Cesc Fabregas (10000) is a good play this week and I think there is a fair chance Eden Hazard (9000) starts after playing for Belgium this week. However, he will probably not last the 90 minutes.
I don’t love the Spurs midfield away to Everton but I do love Harry Kane so I will use Christian Eriksen (10000) as he is a safe play who is most likely to assist the England striker.
I am going to fade Manchester United entirely this week. I think it is very likely Mourinho rotates his squad and they are in a tough match against Stoke who have only conceded 2 goals so far this year.
FanDuel EPL Forwards
In the same vein let everyone else chase Lukaku this week. There are other options that are just as good and they have a matchup harder than most people will think.
Instead I feel great about going to Alexander Lacazette (11000) who is the most likely scorer in the highest predicted scoring game. Arsenal’s results and his game log should scare enough people away to get a nice level of ownership for him.
I cannot believe they have dropped Harry Kane‘s price to (10000). There is too much upside here for me to ignore. Everyone knows he can’t score in August (or at Wembley) but he is away from home and it is September! I love his value this week.
Another must play this week is Joshua King (6000) whose price has sunk to a barely believable 6k. At the end of last season his price was 11k. This game could be a shoot out and I want all of King at this price in this matchup against an awful Arsenal defense.

FanDuel EPL Lineups:
Note: these are sample lineups and are not optimized. The only guarantee I can give you is that I will playing them too. I will also have some lines that are not here. Best thing is to take some of these picks and build your own lineup – especially in GPP – as lineup sharing only reduces the amount you can win.
