DraftKings NFL Week 4 – Roster Build Walkthrough
This Week 4 DraftKings NFL lineup slate promises to be a great one, with many games on tap and matchups galore. I am here to help you by suggesting a few different sample lineups for you, so that you can see the type of roster that it might take for you to win some cash this weekend. This is not meant to be an optimized line-up but rather an illustrative excercise to show you sample roster builds off some of my core DFS plays.
DraftKings NFL Lineup 1: Stack the Patriots
QB: Tom Brady
RB: Kareem Hunt
RB: Chris Thompson
WR: Jaron Brown
WR: Jermaine Kearse
WR: Dez Bryant
TE: Rob Gronkowski
FLEX: Jesse James or Evan Engram
D: Bengals
In the above roster, I kept the Brady-Gronkowski combination going even though it will have high ownership just because Gronkowski is head and shoulders above other TE options. At RB, I picked Kareem Hunt ($8500) and took a low-ownership flyer on Chris Thompson, who seems to have enough of an involvement in the Redskins offense to merit a $5200 price tag. At wide receiver, I paired the discount picks of Jermaine Kearse ($4600) with Jaron Brown ($4000) looking for players that may score a touchdown at a low price. If you are not much of a believer in Dez at this point, try Jarvis Landry instead. FLEX in this lineup is a tight end (your choice) for $3000 and the Bengals D is my top choice.
DraftKings NFL Lineup 2: Fade the Patriots and go more balanced
QB: Russell Wilson
RB: Todd Gurley
RB: Dalvin Cook
WR: Ted Ginn Jr.
WR: Adam Thielen
WR: Mike Evans
TE: Jesse James
FLEX: Mohamed Sanu
D: Bengals
The above lineup lets you take advantage of a weekly matchup for Russell Wilson ($7300) against the lowly Colts- at home! Solid running back play will be present with Todd Gurley ($7800) and Dalvin Cook ($6500). Discount wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr ($3900) is paired with the best wide receiver by far in his price range (Adam Thielen $5800) and Mike Evans ($7400), who will be matched up against the winless New York Giants. TE remains a $3000 option (if Jesse James is good to go, otherwise Engram or Ebron are available) and FLEX here allows Mohamed Sanu to provide extra receiving help. I really like the Bengals here against the Browns with their ability to get to the quarterback and potentially turn the ball over.

DraftKings NFL Lineup 3: Fly Eagles Fly
QB: Carson Wentz
RB: Kareem Hunt
RB: Tarik Cohen
WR: Jaron Brown
WR: A.J. Green
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
TE: Eric Ebron
FLEX: Sterling Shepard or Marshawn Lynch
D: Jets
In this lineup, you can take Carson Wentz for ($6600) against a superpar defense. Running backs Kareem Hunt ($8500) and Tarik Cohen ($5500) have big play upside and could have excellent weeks. Jaron Brown ($4000) is simply my favorite way to save and its hard not to look to his teammate Larry Fitzgerald ($6100) after last week (though hopefully the Cardinals offense line learns to block better). A.J. Green ($8600) will get a ton of targets. Eric Ebron ($3100) is a decent choice at TE this week. At FLEX, its your choice at $5000 as Shepard and Lynch are both available depending on your strategy. Maybe the Jets can make Blake Bortles uncomfortable for $2600 at home.
