Broncos at Chargers: Preview, prediction, odds and pick
By Brad Weiss
In Week 7, the Los Angeles Chargers will play host to the Denver Broncos in an AFC West matchup. Here is our preview, prediction, odds and pick.
The Los Angeles Chargers started out the 2017 NFL season with an 0-4 record, and many believed they would be headed for another long year. The team lost some close games late, which has been the signature of this franchise in recent seasons. New head coach Anthony Lynn expressed that these are not the same Chargers, and they have proved that over the last two weeks.
First, they were able to go East and beat the New York Giants inside MetLife Stadium in Week 6. Last weekend, they went to Oakland and beat the Raiders by one point, kicking a last-second field goal to win the game. These Chargers are playing some spirited football and will have to keep up that energy against a Denver Broncos team that was embarased last weekend against those same Giants.
Denver hosted the Giants in primetime on Sunday Night Football, and they looked bad on both sides of the ball. Trevor Siemian threw a big interception that was returned for a touchdown, and the offense just never got the ball moving. The defense also was beaten by a Giants team missing mostly all of their playmakers, so it was quite a shocking display by the Broncos in front of their home fans.
Odds
Line: Los Angeles Chargers (-1.0)
Over/Under: 42.0
The Chargers are home favorites in this one, but some outlets actually have this as a pick em. The over/under is set at 42.0, but if the offenses get going in this one, that number could be shattered. This line and over/under has changed a bit over the past week or so, so head on over to Sportsbook Review for any changes up until kickoff.

Prediction
The Chargers will continue their winning ways in this one, as the Broncos offense will struggle without Sanders. Siemian took a step back last weekend, looking lost against the Giants pass rush, and he will pressure once again. Look for Los Angeles to make a big play with their defense in this one, and for Melvin Gordon to find the end zone twice.
Final Score: Chargers 24 Broncos 21
