The NFL season is entering Championship Sunday, but one huge star did not practice on Thursday, though the odds are he’ll be ready to go this weekend.
During his NFL career, Tom Brady has turned himself into arguably the best quarterback in the history of the game. On Sunday, his New England Patriots will play in their seventh consecutive AFC Championship Game, but will he be on the field to partake in the action. Brady sat out practice on Thursday, just one day after injuring his throwing hand, and while missing practice could cause some to worry, the odds are No. 12 will be ready to go when the Pats take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Staying with the Patriots, the life and death of former star tight end Aaron Hernandez may become a movie. Hernandez was a rising star with the team, signing a huge deal to team with Rob Gronkowski to be the best tight end tandem in the league, but it all went downhill from there. The former Florida Gator was found guilty of killing his friend, Odin Lloyd, and was sentenced to life in prison, where he committed suicide. Now, Hollywood wants a piece of the action.
In other AFC East news, it looks like there is trouble in South Beach when it comes to star wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Landry is entering free agency, and while he has made the Pro Bowl in three of his four seasons, his days in Miami may be over. Miami has some talented receivers on their roster outside of Landry, and while he is certainly the best of the bunch, the team may decide to turn the page when it comes to him at this point.
The Carolina Panthers are officially up for sale, and plenty of people are throwing their hat in the ring to possibly buy the team. While stars like Diddy, Stephen Curry, and Colin Kaepernick have voice their interest in purchasing their team already, Dale Earnhardt Jr. added his name to the list on Wednesday. Earnhardt is interested in becoming part of the group led by Speedway Motorsports Inc. president and CEO Marcus Smith, and with his star power in North Carolina, he would be a nice name to add to the list.

With the NFL Draft only three months away, it is never too early to start looking at the prospects coming into the league. One quarterback prospect is Mason Rudolph, who has been a star during his time at Oklahoma State. Rudolph was slated to play in the Senior Bowl, where he could showcase his talents with pro coaches, but an injured foot will force him to only go for measurements and interviews.
