Who has the most MVP’s in NFL history? Aaron Rodgers closing in
By Mark Powell
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be going for his fourth MVP on Thursday night in the NFL Honors. Who has the most in NFL history?
Rodgers could win his second straight MVP award, and his fourth overall, should he take home the award on Thursday night. It would be a tremendous honor for the 38-year-old, who only seems to get better with age.
Rodgers’ future as a Green Bay Packer is still uncertain, as he’s been connected to the Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and most recently, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers via trade.
But on Thursday night, he will be representing Green Bay, and is the prohibitive favorite to take home his fourth MVP.
Aaron Rodgers MVP awards
Rodgers had three MVPs entering Thursday night. He achieved those accolades in 2011, 2014 and 2020.
Most MVPs in NFL history
While Rodgers now has four MVP awards, he doesn’t have the most for any one player in NFL history. That honor goes to Peyton Manning, who won five during his illustrious career. From 2003-2013, Manning won the Associated Press Most Valuable Player five times.
Rodgers could very well equal Manning next season, wherever he plays. Manning infamously won the last of his five MVPs with the Denver Broncos, so it can be done.
