Grizzlies, Timberwolves can’t play basketball without protestors stopping games

It’s basically a lock at this point that a protestor is going to interrupt and stop a Grizzlies-Timberwolves playoff game as it happened again in Game 4.

First there was the glue, then there was the chaining to the stanchion. And if you thought the protestors during the NBA Playoffs series between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies were stopping there, you’d be wrong.

On Saturday night, Game 4 at the Target Center had big stakes with the Grizz up 2-1 in the series and the home team needing a win. The fans who have been protesting by running onto the floor, however, could not have cared less.

With the Wolves up slightly right out of halftime, a protestor — once again sitting behind Minnesota owner Glen Taylor — ran into the middle of a play and was quickly tackled and dragged off of the floor by security.

With that said, at some point, there has to be something done so that the Timberwolves and Grizzlies can play a playoff basketball game without having the action stopped due to protestors getting onto the floor.

It’s truly a wild scene when there have been more games in this Western Conference series that have been stopped by protestors for varying lengths of time than there have been those without incident.
