At long last, major championship season has arrived, and there’s no better way to begin that than with The Masters. Every year, the trip to Augusta National Golf Club brings out the best in golf. The atmosphere in unrivaled among the azaleas, the golfers in the field are truly the best in the world and in history, and you can feel how special every great moment is.

We know that Tiger Woods will be in the field once again this year for The Masters, as will the LIV Golf players who are qualified. Of course, joining them will be defending champion Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, the three best players in the world right now. And let’s not forget the likes of Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa and the list goes on.

So as we look at The Masters picks for this week at Augusta National, we’re beefing up the normal card after a slight loss this past week in our PGA Tour expert picks. We’ll offer our best bets for Top 5, Top 10, and Top 20 finishes before giving more best bets and then sprinkling on three outright winners for the week. The Masters picks: PGA Tour expert picks for Top 5 Top 10, Top 20, One and Done

Top 5 pick at The Masters 2023: Jordan Spieth (+350, DraftKings)

Whenever Jordan Spieth is going to pop at The Masters, you can see it coming. So when his game was all over the place last year, it’s no surprise that he suffered a rare missed cut — in fact, it was the first of his career. There is no such worry for me this week at Augusta.

Spieth may still be bad for anxiety and heart problems when he plays, but you can’t argue with the numbers, which say that he’s fourth in the field in weighted strokes gained tee-to-green over the last 20 rounds and has been on the top of leaderboards consistently. Now coming to a place where he’s won and has four additional Top 5 finishes, I’m willing to bet on that to happen again at these odds.

Top 10 pick at The Masters 2023: Jason Day (+210)

We’ve seen the resurgence (and more importantly the health) of Jason Day this year and his play has backed that up. The Aussie has missed the cut at his last two Masters outings but has three career Top 5s and four career Top 10s to his credit. Moreover, his profile looks great as he’s sixth in the field in weighted strokes gained over the last 20 rounds while gaining 0.5 strokes or more in every category. That’s the balance you want from a player who knows this course and has played. it well. I think a Top 10 at this price is way too good to pass up.

Top 20 pick at The Masters 2023: Brooks Koepka (+125)

Maybe this is a sucker bet, but the one thing that stood out from his win at LIV Golf Orlando this past weekend was that Brooks Koepka looked healthy. He obviously played well enough, but the fact that he’s not ailing, which has led to two straight missed cuts after finishing T11, T2, T7 at this tournament leads me to believe he’s ready and motivated to compete again. I do think playing in LIV will depress his ceiling a bit, but getting plus odds for him to finish Top 20 feels like great value for a player who might be too overlooked.

One and Done pick for The Masters: Jordan Spieth

There is a legitimate chance that Spieth could win his second Green Jacket this week and we’re staring it straight in the face. But even if he doesn’t, we’re still looking at a great opportunity for him to contend and make some serious noise this week. I think he’s finishing Top 5, so I’m willing to burn him in the One and Done as such.
