The Masters Tournament is a mecca trip for golf fans but what do Masters ticket prices look like for 2023 one week before the tournament and over history?

If you’re a golf fan who doesn’t have attending The Masters on their bucket list, you are in the vast minority. A trip to Augusta National Golf Club for arguably the most prestigious golf tournament in the world is an unreal experience that can’t be replicated. Masters ticket prices, however, can sometimes make that trip difficult to make.

With Tiger Woods expected to play The Masters this year, that always makes ticket prices spike because, well, it’s the Tiger effect. However, Masters ticket prices still aren’t exactly what you would call affordable — specifically on the secondary markets where most people are shopping.

So with The Masters still a week away, let’s take a look at the current ticket prices and how much it costs to attend the tournament at Augusta.

How much are tickets to The Masters?

If you are lucky enough to win the legitimate ticket lottery for Augusta National Golf Club, then the cost truly isn’t that bad. Daily grounds passes for The Masters cost $140 while practice round tickets for Monday-Wednesday are just $100, which is wholly reasonable. A weekly badge if you’re lucky enough to get one would cost $450.

Because tickets are in such high demand and limited availability, though, the resell market jacks up the prices to absurd degrees.

Masters ticket prices on Seat Geek one week prior to the start of the tournament, the cheapest available tickets, are as follows for the week.

  • Monday, April 3 (Practice Round): $959
  • Tuesday, April 4 (Practice Round): $1,002
  • Wednesday, April 5 (Practice Round/Par 3 Contest): $1,715
  • Thursday, April 6 (First Round): $2,394
  • Friday, April 7 (Second Round): $1,919
  • Saturday, April 8 (Third Round): $1,313
  • Sunday, April 9 (Final Round): $1,130
  • Weekly Grounds Pass: Unavailable
  • 4-Day Tournament Pass: $5,331

Masters ticket prices over the last 10 years

In regards to the normal ticketing process through Augusta National Golf Club, the weekly grounds pass has gone up from $375 in previous years, 2022 included, to $450 this year.

As far as the resell secondary market goes, though, here’s a look at the average Masters ticket prices from 2012-22 from Statista with a note that the tournament had no fans in 2020 when it was moved to the fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • 2012: $1,338
  • 2013: $2,162
  • 2014: $1,057
  • 2015: $1,513
  • 2016: $2,177
  • 2017: $1,472
  • 2018: $1,245
  • 2019: $1,975
  • 2021: $2,088
  • 2022: $2,068

As we get closer to the tournament, it would not be remotely surprising to see the 2023 average settle somewhere around $2,000 again as prices tend to go up as we get closer to the major championship beginning.
