Vikings will not be doing Adrian Peterson jersey exchange
Minnesota Vikings fans that no longer support Adrian Peterson will not be as fortunate as the Baltimore Ravens fans. The Ray Rice jersey exchange this morning had hundreds of Ravens fans lined up to get rid of the jersey of the player that was released from the team after a video surfaced of him knocking out his wife Janay Palmer in a casino elevator in Atlantic City.

Now, after Adrian Peterson’s indictment for child abuse after he was accused of violently beating his four-year-old son with a switch, some fans want the opportunity to exchange his jersey. One fan asked the Vikings’ team store, but was kindly rejected.
“First, we want to be clear that we have a strong stance on the protection and welfare of children, which is why we needed to get this decision right,” VikingsLockerRoom.com customer service supervisor Lane Lewis told the fan. “We understand and appreciate the range of emotions our fans have expressed throughout the process, and we hope they can respect our decision. At this time we do not have a jersey exchange program in place. Adrian remains a member of the Vikings organization, and we will continue to support him through this legal and personal process.”
The Vikings confirmed the the email, and separately provided this statement to NBC’s Pro Football Talk: “No, we are not contemplating a jersey exchange program. Adrian remains a member of this organization and we will support him through the legal and personal process.”
If enough fans wants to rid themselves of Adrian Peterson’s jersey, the Vikings may have to “get this right” by doing a jersey exchange. It will most likely depend on the decision of the court and what his punishment will be.
