NFL franchises get a lot of grief for not being the most proactive when it comes to injuries, especially those that you can’t see.

That’s not to say every franchise is to blame, but there are some who seemingly turn a blind eye at times. Of course, the blame also falls on the player sometimes because they too refuse to stay off the field, even when asked. Case in point, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy who wanted no part of being yanked off the field during the first quarter of Philly’s game against the Washington Redskins.
After speaking with the coaching and medical staff, McCoy suggested that he was ready to return to the game though at that point had not been given clearance. Not caring, LeSean McCoy made his way to an equipment manager who was holding his helmet. He then attempted to take it from the equipment manager who shimmied and shook to get away.
McCoy was drilled on a helmet-to-helmet hit which is why he was removed from the game in the first place. The Philadelphia Eagles obviously did the right thing in this situation as it was obvious LeSean McCoy needed a breather on the sidelines as he looked unstable when he got to his feet.
Thankfully he was deemed to eventually be okay and returned to the game.
