Kevin Durant on his critics: ‘I was like ‘(expletive) ‘em’
By Bryan Rose
When Kevin Durant entered the NBA out of Texas, the Oklahoma City Thunder star was relatively quiet and shy. Some suggested his personality wasn’t going to fly in the NBA though Durant quickly shut down that idea.

Now a little more seasoned, the veteran has become far more vocal than the meek Kevin Durant we once knew and not only leads the Oklahoma City Thunder by example but also verbally. He also has no problem telling things like they are as he did during an interview with USA Today’s Sam Amick.
Talking about his critics, the reigning league league MVP had one thing to say.
“Seriously, to be honest, I was like ‘(expletive) ‘em.’ You can write that, too. Seriously, though. I’m just going to be me, man, and that’s how I felt. … I was happy I took the hits, like, ‘All right, that’s going to teach me to be strong and not worry about what everybody has got to say.’”
Kevin Durant of course took a significant amount of flack for leaving USA Basketball early though it appears as if he wasn’t feeling the hate directed his way, especially since departing was contractually obligated.
It’s seemingly been an irritating few months for Kevin Durant who says he’s now being asked by four-year-old children about his free agent plans in 2016.
