While Kevin Durant’s bank account certainly isn’t hurting after signing a lucrative near $300 million dollar deal with Nike, the Oklahoma City Thunder star can’t catch a break when it comes to his pending free agency.

More from Kevin Durant

Set to become a free agent during the 2016 offseason, many are already suspecting that Kevin Durant could leave the Thunder and sign with his hometown Washington Wizards. That apparently includes children as Durant says a 4-year-old kid recently asked him about his free agent plans.

“But at the same time, I just want to enjoy the moment and not worry about the future, even though it’s tough to. I go home, and everybody asks me. Man, it’s crazy. Like little kids, 4 years old, ‘You coming to the Wizards?’ Man, (expletive), how do you know about this? At 4 years old, I didn’t even know what basketball players were. How do you know about free agency?”

It seems rather difficult to imagine a 4-year-old child knows much about NBA free agency, so you’d have to assume somebody older put him up to the question. That said, it proves just how crazy the rumors and noise surrounding Kevin Durant’s future has become.

Both he and the Oklahoma City Thunder have two more seasons of rumors unless the former Texas star decides to sign a contract extension in OKC.

And you thought the LeBron James free agent rumors were bad…
