After a week filled with many wondering what was wrong with New England’s offense, Tom Brady and Co. got off to a quick start versus the Bengals. Less than five minutes into the game, Stevan Ridley ran in for a 1-yard score, giving the Patriots a 7-0 lead.

New England would tack on seven more in the first thanks to a 17-yard pass from Brady to Tim Wright with 3:12 remaining in the quarter.

Three second quarter field goals (two from New England, one from Cincinnati) sent the Pats to the break up 20-3.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton finally found the end zone early in the third, throwing a 37-yard strike to Mohamed Sanu less than four minutes into the quarter.

However, Brady threw a 16-yard touchdown strike to Rob Gronkowski with 6:06 left in the quarter and New England added another touchdown just six seconds later thanks to scoop-and-score from Kyle Arrington after a Brandon Tate fumble on a kickoff return.

Cincy would cut the deficit 34-17 with 3:43 left in the third due to a Dalton 17-yard passing score to A.J. Green, but the Bengals wouldn’t get any closer.

Pats kicker Stephen Gostkowski added three more fourth quarter field goals to round out the scoring.

Brady finished the game 23-of-35 for 292 yards and two touchdowns. Ridley was New England’s top rusher with 113 yards while Gronk added 100 yards receiving.

Dalton threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns on 15-of-24 passing. Giovani Bernard added 62 yards on the ground and Green posted 81 yards receiving.

Next Sunday, Cincy takes on the Carolina Panthers at home and the Pats will play the Buffalo Bills on the road.
