Former Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks’ head coach Mike Holmgren visited the Oakland Raiders’ facility. However, Mike Holmgren says he “probably” will not be their next head coach.

Now that the Oakland Raiders have fired yet another head coach in Dennis Allen, speculation about their next head coach has run wild.

More from Las Vegas Raiders

Former Miami Dolphins’ head coach Tony Sparano has been named the interim head coach but he is not expected to keep the job beyond this season. The Raiders have been tied to a former coach of theirs – Jon Gruden. The Raiders have admitted they may contact Gruden, who won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They are reportedly prepared to spend a lot of money on Gruden and he is apparently intrigued by Raiders’ rookie quarterback Derek Carr.

Of course, leaving a great job in Monday Night Football wouldn’t be easy. That’s why the Raiders have other coaches on their radar, including former Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks’ coach Mike Holmgren.

According to Sports Radio KJR, Mike Holmgren “probably” won’t be the Radiers’ next coach.

Mike Holmgren is now 66 years old and although the Raiders don’t want another young, raw coach like Dennis Allen, Mike Holmgren’s best days are behind him.
