The Cincinnati Bengals will be without Pro Bowl wide receiver AJ Green on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, though it appears as if some good news is on the horizon regarding Green’s potential return.
Hampered by a toe injury for quite some time, Green has missed Cincinnati’s past few games though could be set to return in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While Green nor the Bengals will confirm a potential return, it’s been said that there’s about a 70 percent change he’ll see the field in the prime matchup.
Per Bengals source: AJ Green NOT playing tday, tho very close. I'm told 70-30 for nxt wk vJAX. Receiving specialty shoe from Nike this wk.

The Cincinnati Bengals are in a bit of a predicament regarding the return of AJ Green as the team has a quick turnaround from their Week 9 tilt as they play the Thursday night game just a few days later in Week 10.
That won’t give AJ Green much time to recover, though the hope is that he’ll not only be healthy enough to play in Week 9 but the custom Nike shoe he’s being fitted for will help him remain on the field for Week 10.
For now Mohamed Sanu will continue to see the majority of targets in AJ Green’s spot though it does appear as if the Pro Bowler is inching closer and closer to his return. That’s great news for the Cincinnati Bengals who currently sit at 3-2 and will need some improved play if they’re going to put themselves in contention for a playoff spot.
Green has two touchdowns and 314 receiving yards through four (hampered) games this season.
