While most teams would struggle after losing their starting running back, the Cincinnati Bengals have more than a competent backup in Jeremy Hill who stepped in for the injured Giovani Bernard on Sunday.
Bernard, dealing with multiple issues was ruled out against the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier in the week allowing Hill plenty of time to analyze his upcoming opponent.
Apparently he figured out who was susceptible to the video game juke move as the rookie running back unleashed some impressive moves throughout the deal.
His best (and perhaps most important) of the afternoon came on a one-yard touchdown run however.
On a first and goal with the Cincinnati Bengals nursing a nine-point lead, Hill took the hand off from quarterback Andy Dalton. Instead of going up the gut Jeremy Hill swung out and looked to find a crack in the line. He wasn’t able to though and continued to get pushed further and further until the sideline was just feet away. That’s when Hill hit his circle button and abused a few Jaguars defenders en route to the touchdown.
A bit later in the contest Jeremy Hill gave a scare to all in the stadium as he limped off the field looking to have suffered a significant injury. Thankfully though nothing major took place as the running back found himself back on the field after receiving some quick treatment.
Hill will continue to see the field as the Cincinnati Bengals starter until Giovani Bernard returns from his injury.
