American Pharoah won the 2015 Preakness Stakes and Twitter had a number of reactions but these are the best, so you should definitely check them out.

American Pharoah can be the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win the triple crown after winning the Preakness Stakes on a rain-soaked track at Pimlico in impressive fashion.

In fact, it was more dominant than his win at the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago and turned in an unofficial 1:58.46 to beat Tale of Verve, Divining Rod and Dortmund and now will rest up for the Belmont Stakes in three weeks from Belmont Park in New York on June 6 for a chance to make history. The seven-length margin of victory was the greatest since Smarty Jones won by over 11 in 2004.

Just last year California Chrome entered the Belmont Stakes with a chance to end the triple crown drought but finished fourth to Tonalist to be the 13th horse to lose the 1.5 mile race after winning the first two legs. He certainly has a chance to make history, although the grueling 1.5 miles will be the ultimate test for this potentially transcendent thoroughbred.

But before we can focus on the Belmont, let’s check out some of the best reactions to American Pharoah’s win at the Preakness.

American Pharoah really turned in an impressive showing on an absolutely unkind race track on Saturday. To say the track was muddy would be an understatement, because the Pimlico track was beat down with rain leading up to the race and didn’t present favorable conditions, so ignore the final time.

But look at the seven-length margin of victory, the greatest since Smarty Jones in 2004, and how much better he was than the field today. Will American Pharoah have enough in him for the 1.5 mile race in the Belmont Stakes in three weeks to win the triple crown?

It would be spectacular for the sport to see American Pharoah do what the last 13 horses couldn’t do after winning the first two legs and be the first triple crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.
