Arcangelo is the winner of the 2023 Belmont Stakes, beating the leading National Treasure and the favored Forte on Saturday. Now let’s look at the betting payouts.

On Saturday, June 10, the final leg of the 2023 Triple Crown took place. Mage picked up the win at the Kentucky Derby, while National Treasure won the Preakness Stakes. All that was left to determine was which horse would win the 155th Belmont Stakes.

This year’s Belmont Stakes celebrated the 50th anniversary of Secretariat’s Triple Crown win back in 1973. While there was no Triple Crown on the line this year, winning “The Test of Champions” is a grand accomplishment. Forte was the betting favorite entering the race, with National Treasure having high odds as well.

On Saturday, National Treasure led for the majority of the race, until Arcangelo broke past on its side. Arcangelo was able to maintain the lead with a crowded field behind to win the Belmont Stakes. Trainer Jena Antonucci is now the first female trainer to win the Belmont Stakes.

Finishing in second was Forte, followed by Tapit Trice in third.

Now let’s take a look at the betting payouts of the Belmont Stakes, we have you covered.

Belmont Stakes trifecta payout

Now for those of you who placed a $1 bet on a trifecta finish of 3-6-2 (Arcangelo-Forte-Tapit Price), you will be walking home with a $133.24 payout, per the FOX broadcast. Yes, it’s not quite the $982.36 payout you would have gotten for placing a correct trifecta on this year’s Kentucky Derby, but it’s still a decent amount of money to pocket.

Belmont Stakes superfecta payout

For the superfecta, there is a bit of uncertainty as of this writing as to which horse finished in fourth place between Hit Show (7) and Angel of Empire (8). So, here’s what the FOX broadcast listed for the superfecta payouts for each situation.

If Hit Show is confirmed to place in fourth, the 3-6-2-7 superfecta payout would be $292.50. As for if Angel of Empire finishes fourth, the 3-6-2-8 superfecta payout is $191.50.
