Breaking down the 2023 Belmont Stakes post time, location of the race, time and date for the coverage and how to watch the Triple Crown’s final leg.

The 2023 Belmont Stakes may not have the excitement that it could’ve as there is no hope of a Triple Crown winner. Mage was the winner at the Kentucky Derby but was bested by National Treasure, among others, at the Preakness Stakes.

Even still, the Belmont Stakes remains one of the pillars of horse racing, particularly in America, and the dirt track offers one of the most exciting couple of minutes in the sport.

So how can you be ready to watch the excitement for the 2023 Belmont Stakes? From post time to live stream info and with much more in-between, we’ve got you covered.

Belmont Stakes post time for 2023: Date, coverage times

The 2023 Belmont Stakes post time is currently set for 7:02 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 10, which is when the real action will begin. Coverage from the track will last all day with FS1 beginning the pre-race coverage at 11 a.m. ET before FOX takes over at 4 p.m. ET until the conclusion of the race and the winner’s ceremony. 2. Tapit Trice
  3. Arcangelo
  4. National Treasure
  5. Il Miracolo
  6. Forte
  7. Hit Show
  8. Angel of Empire

The nine-horse field for the 2023 Belmont Stakes has some fascinating aspects involved. Kentucky Derby winner Mage isn’t running, but Preakness winner National Treasure, trained by the legendary and infamous Bob Baffert, will be running. However, it’s Forte that is installed as the favorite for the race, a horse that was the Kentucky Derby favorite before having to be scratched from that race in the 11th hour.

Where is the Belmont Stakes run?

The Belmont Stakes is run annually at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY. The dirt track is 1.5 miles long and the 2023 running will be the 155th in the race’s history. It’s also worth noting that the great Secretariat completed his run to win the Triple Crown in 1973 by setting the record at Belmont Park with a 2:24 time.
