The 140th  Preakness Stakes is set to go off at 6:19 PM Eastern, don’t be caught without a place to wager on the race.

If you can’t make it down to your local race track or OTB, or let’s be real, maybe you’re just lazy, you want to know where you can make a few bets online right? Fortunately there’s more sites than ever to make legal bets on horse races in the United States. Five of the top ones are TVG, Xpressbet, TwinSpires, Go Horse Betting and Off Track Betting. Let’s take a look at each one.

TVG is probably the most well-known of these. They’re the ones with the cable TV network as well. They offer free handicap info and you can wager online, via phone or mobile. Currently they’re offering to match $150 as a sign-up bonus. TVG does offer free video via their site, but they have a limit on how much you can use.

Xpressbet is actually the title sponsor of the Preakness Stakes, so of course they offer betting on the Preakness. Like TVG, they’re currently offering a sign-up bonus where you wager $100 and then get $125 the next day. They also offer mobile wagering like TVG as well as no fees for deposits, wagering or withdrawals. You can find handicapping guides and live video as well.

TwinSpires is next in line and like the rest so far is currently offering a sign-up bonus of $100 if you wager $500 in 30 days. They are the official betting service of the Kentucky Derby, as you might gather from the name. They offer free handicapping resources, live video and mobile access.

The first three are easily the top three in the horse racing betting business, but there are a couple other ones you can check out if you want to take the route less traveled.

Go Horse Betting is offering betting action on the Preakness and 20 percent cash back on joining. They are an international betting company and they offer various other wagering action besides just horse racing. They do offer live video and replays as well as tips and past performances.

The last one is Off Track Betting and they offer betting on all types of horse racing and greyhound racing. They claim to be the best value in horse racing and have a whole list of everything that’s free, from membership to wagering and everything in between. They also offer video and professional picks.

As you can see, there are plenty of options for betting the Preakness so you won’t have to let that hot pick remain forever a guess.
