The Jordan IV Suede “Royalty” Is Set To Release This Weekend
By Tim Ryan
The Air Jordan IV has long been one of my favorite sneakers in the entire Jordan Brand line, which isn’t exactly a unique opinion. Everyone loves the Jordan IVs.
Specifically, the Air Jordan IV Black Cement.
I mean, come on man, look at this magical shoe:
It’s as timeless as it is beautiful.
Of course, since then we’ve seen a slew of iterations.
Specifically, the last time we talked Jordan IVs was back in October for the release of the “Premium Gingers” — a shoe that sold out quickly despite the usual nitpicky complaints from the sneaker-obsessed, who were all but convinced the shoe would “take an L.”
Anyway, this Saturday, February 4, Nike is set to release another Air Jordan IV dubbed “Royalty,” and it will retail for $190.
If you recall, the Premium Gingers were a whopping $400, so it appears Nike has momentarily returned to earth.
Here’s a look at the new offering, which is suede and features metallic gold accents.
If you happen to be a New Orleans Saints fan, these sneakers feel like an absolute must-buy, as the design appears to have been birthed with your feet close to mind.
Let’s get a closer look at that premium black suede and accompanying gold metallic eyelets.
And here’s the all-important bird’s eye view, otherwise known as how you will always see them.
For whatever reason, these have gotten a ton of flack from devoted sneakerheads on various sites, but I’m kinda loving them.
The key for me is they didn’t go overboard with the gold. It’s just enough to make a statement without crossing that fine line into renowned, unfathomable douchebag territory.
As previously mentioned, the Jordan IV “Royal” will cost you $190 and release on Nike.com this Saturday, February 4 at 10 am EST.
Good luck.
