DraftKings Main MLB Picks For June 11

We only have six games in our main DraftKings tournament. Neither of the late doubleheader games are in here, so it really does limit our options, and takes SunTrust Park out of play in the evening slate. We still have a couple of aces, and a few good mid tier options. Who should we go with? Let’s check some stats!

More from DFS

The money line last night was almost as high as the afternoon one at 126.55. My lineup anchored by Luis Severino and Mitch Moreland and the Yankees stack made it into the money. My Tigers stack did not. I knew is was a risk, but that was why I only threw a dollar at it.

The winning lineup was up to 228.95 DraftKings points. He used Zack Godley with Severino and his larger, and more expensive (and more productive) Yankees stack to take down the tournament.

These picks are based mostly on statistical analysis . If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players. Check out this post from Matt McGarvey for great tips about whether to use a hot player in DFS or not.

Jun 6, 2017; Phoenix, AZ, USA; Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Robbie Ray (38) throws during the first inning against the San Diego Padres at Chase Field. Mandatory Credit: Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports /

P: Robbie Ray ($12,000): Ray has dominated the Brewers so far. They are hitting just .174 against Ray in 23 at bats with the only damage being a two run homer by Hernan Perez. He also struck out seven. Ray’s home ERA is not great even after dominating the Padres his last time out. He will get it down some more here. Ray looks like the best option tonight, even better than the higher priced Max Scherzer against the Rangers.

P: Hyun-Jin Ryu ($6,900): Ryu will get another shot at pitching for a rotation job due to a couple of solid starts. Ryu has a 3.58 ERA at Dodger Stadium this year in five starts. The Reds are hitting just .214 against Ryu in 28 at bats with three runs and six striekouts. Don’t expect a great start from Ryu, but it could be a quality one and he has a great chance at a win opposite Tim Adleman.

C: Mike Zunino ($3,800): Zunino is absolutely shredding left handed pitching upon his return from AAA Tacoma. J.A. Happ is not back to form yet after a stretch on the DL. That is not good news for the Blue Jays. Even the Mariner lefties have hit left handed pitching well lately. They could be a sneaky good stack against Happ.

1B: Buster Posey ($4,100): Journeyman Nik Turley will finally make his major league debut at the age of 27 today against the Giants in a pitcher’s park. The Giants don’t have a prolific offense by any means, but Posey is still a great hitter, especially against lefties. I definitely want him in there.

2B: Aaron Hill ($2,700): Hill will get another start with Joe Panik nursing a sore thumb. And he will get it against a guy who has spent ten years in the minor leagues. Turley has dominated at AAA Rochester this year, including racking up 15 strikeouts in a game earlier this year. He wont be able to do that in the majors. I am stacking a few Giants just in case he has jitters, or just generally doesn’t pitch well.

3B: Kyle Seager ($3,900): Seager defies the platoon split against J.A. Happ. He is 4-13(.308) with two homers and three RBI against Happ. Seager is still pretty underpriced, and he has always been able to hit at Safeco. I don’t mind using him at this price for a potential home run.

SS: Jose Iglesias ($3,600): Iglesias is only 1-4 against Drew Pomeranz, but that hit is a two run homer. This looks like another opportunity to stack this game, but I am going to resist that urge. There are so many better options out there. However, I do want a little bit of exposure to it.

OF: Nelson Cruz ($4,900): Cruz is 8-19(.421) with two walks, a double, a triple, a run scored, and two RBI in his career against Happ. The Mariners are hitting .325 in 83 at bats against Happ as a whole. I’m not sure that there is a bad Mariner to play tonight.

OF: Eduardo Nunez ($4,900): The former Twin had a dreadful start to the season, but he had an 11 game hit streak until last night. He should be able to get another one going against rookie Nik Turley today.

OF: Hunter Pence ($3,100): I get it. Pence is really struggling lately. Still, he is facing a lefty making his major league debut! How is he this cheap? I am comfortable with Pence in my Giants stack.

Jun 8, 2017; Washington, DC, USA; Washington Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper (34) celebrates with teammates in the dugout after scoring a run against the Baltimore Orioles in the first inning at Nationals Park. Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports /

P: James Paxton ($9,200): Paxton has absolutely dominated the Blue Jays in his career. They are hitting just .154 in 39 at bats with only two runs and ten strikeouts. Paxton also has a ridiculous 1.17 ERA in five home starts this season. Don’t be surprised if he outdoes everyone else on this slate!

More from FanSided

P: Chase Anderson ($8,000): Wait….didn’t I have Ray in the other lineup? Yes I did! However, Anderson’s stats against Arizona are even better than Ray’s against Milwaukee! The Diamondbacks are hitting just .114 in 44 at bats with the only damage a solo homer by Gregor Blanco. Don’t be surprised if we see a pitcher’s duel in the desert, even at hitter friendly Chase Field.

C: Jason Castro ($3,300): Castro is the only Twins player that has faced Matt Cain before. He is 2-5 with a walk, a solo homer, and two runs scored against him. Cain has been superb at home this year despite his awful overall numbers, so I am avoiding a stack. I still want Castro in there though just in case.

1B: Adam Lind ($3,500): The Nationals have no reason to rush Ryan Zimmerman back, especially with Austin Bibens-Dirkx making a spot start against them today. Bibens-Dirkx has a 4.08 ERA in six appearances (one start) this season. The Nationals have one of the best offenses in the league, so I am spending the money to stack them today. Lind has the platoon advantage and should be starting again for Zimmerman. The price is right on Lind.

2B: Daniel Murphy ($4,800): Murphy has 109 DraftKings points in his last ten games. He is showing no signs of slowing down, and has been a consistent force in this lineup all year long. You can bet I want him as a part of my stack today!

3B: Anthony Rendon ($4,500): Rendon has erased that slow start and posted a .292 average with 11 homers and 37 RBI with a .924 OPS. His points per game average is nearly identical over the last ten games as it is on the season. He will have a spot in the middle of a lineup that should score a lot of runs today.

SS: Trea Turner ($5,300): Any Nationals stack needs Turner in it. He is the catalyst for this offense and swipes a lot of bases. Those can add up almost as fast as home runs. I definitely want Turner in there too.

OF: Bryce Harper ($5,400): What Nationals stack would be complete without Bryce Harper? He has a .340 average with eight homers and 23 RBI in 97 at bats at home this year. Look out for flying objects in the right field seats!

OF: Shin-Soo Choo ($3,400): The Rangers are hitting .323 in 65 at bats against Max Scherzer. Choo is leading that charge, going 12-21(.571) with six walks, two doubles, a triple, two homers, two steals, and seven RBI in his career against Scherzer. Choo will be a little used piece, but could put together a big day based on these past stats.

OF: Guillermo Heredia ($2,500): There isn’t much to go on here, but I was looking for a cheap bat that will start. Heredia fits that bill, and he has two singles, a steal, and a run scored in three career at bats against J.A. Happ. Heredia could provide some great value at this price.
