DraftKings Main MLB Picks For June 26

We have six games in the main tournament tonight, but that doesn’t mean that there is a lack of options. We have three aces, and a couple of more that could pitch like aces. Where can we go cheap to spend on pitching? Let’s check out some stats!

More from DFS

The money line yesterday last night was much higher than the afternoon at 109.15 DraftKings points. My lineup was ruined by poor outings from Brandon McCarthy and Jordan Zimmerman.

The winning lineup was very average again at 165.8. He gambled big with Rafael Montero and Randall Delgado. Both of them paid off. He used the extra coin to pay up for Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt, which was a good idea.

These picks are based mostly on statistical analysis . If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players. Check out this post from Matt McGarvey for great tips about whether to use a hot player in DFS or not.

Jun 20, 2017; Kansas City, MO, USA; Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (41) delivers a pitch in the ninth inning against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports /

P: Chris Sale ($12,900): The Twins were one of the few teams to get more than three runs on Sale earlier this year, but they also struck out ten times. Sale still came away with 24.7 DraftKings points in that game. While that is not an elite total like his price suggests he is, that may be the best you can get today. The Twins have actually hit .284 in 169 at bats against Sale with a staggering 31 runs. However, it’s hard to bet against Sale this year. I love Jose Berrios, but there is no way I’m trusting him in Boston for his price.

P: Jeff Samardzija ($8,400): Samardzija’s numbers against the Rockies are not good, but a majority of that damage was done at Coors Field. The Dodgers shut down the Rockies for the most part over the weekend. There are very few mid range options available tonight. If you can’t afford two aces, Samardzija is easily the next best thing.

C: Yan Gomes ($2,900): Gomes has never faced Cole Hamels, but he is hitting lefties well. Gomes has three homers and 10 RBI in just 52 at bats against left handed pitching this year. That sounds great to me against a rusty Hamels.

1B: Adam Lind ($3,700): Lind is 2-3 with a walk, a double, and two RBI in his career against Eddie Butler. This could be a rough game for Butler at Nationals Park, but a Nationals stack will be very expensive. If you can find a place where you are willing to go cheap in pitching, this is the top stack. I never found that equilibrium.

2B: Alen Hanson ($3,300): Hanson has been quite a pick up for the White Sox. He is scoring quite a few runs sitting atop the White Sox lineup. He is also a big threat on the basepaths and is worth playing on days where the Sox project to score a lot or runs like tonight.

3B: Logan Forsythe ($3,400): Forsythe is perfect against Ricky Nolasco in his career. He has two singles, a homer, and two RBI in three at bats. This could be a tough night for Nolasco, so I want some exposure to him.

SS: Brandon Crawford ($3,000): Crawford has singled twice and tripled in three at bats against German Marquez. Marquez has been solid on the road, but Crawford is still way too cheap for this one.

OF: Cody Bellinger ($5,500): What better way to get exposure than the National League leader in home runs? Bellinger is a legitimate threat to Mark McGwire‘s rookie home run record. He has a great chance to add to his total again!

OF: Brian Goodwin ($3,800): Goodwin racked up 60 DraftKings points over the weekend against the Reds. Eddie Butler doesn’t miss many bats, which is great news for a guy like Goodwin who is hitting everything right now. Goodwin could be the best bargain  of the night tonight.

OF: Adam Engel ($3,000): Engel has 39 DraftKings points in five games since being recalled from AAA. He should be in the lineup somewhere tonight, and will hold more value if he somehow makes it back into the leadoff spot.

Jun 21, 2017; Baltimore, MD, USA; Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco (59) throws a pitch in the second inning against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Mandatory Credit: Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports /

P: Carlos Carrasco ($11,600): Carrasco may be the best pitcher out there tonight. The Rangers are hitting .250 in his against 80 at bats with three homers and nine runs, but they have struck out 28 times. That’s a notch below Sale, but the Twins have hit Sale even harder. The fact that Carrasco has only allowed three runs in his last three starts puts him over the top tonight.

More from FanSided

P: Gio Gonzalez ($9,800): The Cubs are only hitting .200 in 50 at bats against Gonzalez with only one homer and three runs to show for it. He has also recorded 13 strikeouts. Gonzalez also owns a spectacular 1.66 ERA at home in seven starts. He looks like a very safe option tonight.

C: Chris Gimenez ($3,200): Gimenez is 3-6 with a walk, a double, a solo homer, and two runs scored in his career against Chris Sale. Look for him to be out there again tonight.

1B: Jose Abreu ($4,400): Jordan Montgomery has had a solid year, and pitched pretty well against the White Sox in his first outing against them this year. Only a three run homer blemished his record. So why all the White Sox? Well, the Sox are the best team in the majors against left handed pitching. The Sox are cheap enough to stack and still pay for pitching. They will also be less owned than Nationals or Dodgers.

2B: Yolmer Sanchez ($3,300): Sanchez is the one that hit that three run homer against Montgomery in Yankee Stadium earlier this year. Sanchez is playing so well that he may actually be keeping Yoan Moncada at AAA for now. He is a cheap hitter for a team that could score quite a few runs tonight.

3B: Matt Davidson ($3,900): When Jordan Montgomery first met Davidson, the latter was mired in some sort of slump. Now Davidson has found his power stroke. He has five homers over the last 11 games. Davidson is also hitting 45 points higher at home with one more homer in 32 less at bats than on the road.

SS: Tim Anderson ($3,000): Anderson is priced right to use him tonight against Jordan Montgomery. He is hitting .338 against left handed pitching compared to .222 against righties. He hasn’t hit a homer against a lefty yet, but that isn’t really his game. He is in there to get on base and wreak havoc.

OF: Avisail Garcia ($4,200): Garcia is hitting .336 this year with 11 homers and 51 RBI. He is also batting cleanup in a sneaky good lineup against left handed pitching. Garcia could be a bargain tonight.

OF: Austin Jackson ($3,400): Cole Hamels is making his return from the disabled list tonight. Jackson has hit lefties hard all year, and is playing very well in place of Michael Brantley right now. Jackson has 33 DraftKings points over the last four games, including a series against the Twins where Cleveland scored just two runs. If Jackson is good to go after leaving with quad tightness last night, he looks like a great pick against Hamels.

OF: Tyler Austin ($3,200): Chris Carter was designated for assignment to make room for Austin, who was destroying AAA this year. He is a righty masher against David Holmberg, who has been outstanding in his five starts and nine relief appearances this year. The price on Austin is too hard to pass up, especially when we need to go cheap somewhere.
