There was some buzz last month that the Buffalo Bills were not as high on former Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib as the public believed, but that appeared to be a smokescreen. The latest belief around the league is that the Bills will look to trade down in the first-round, but if they are unsuccessful, they will be willing to pull the trigger on Nassib and reunite him with his former college coach Doug Marrone.

Per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen:

If Nassib is the pick at No. 8, many will view the pick as a reach. However, there are a number of draft analysts that view Nassib as the top signal-caller in this year’s class, so it could prove to be a good move if it happens.

I have always been of the belief that you take a quarterback no matter where you sit in the draft order if you believe in him. No one knows Nassib better than Marrone, and if he thinks he has the NFL chops then the pick will make perfect sense.

Will the Bills take Nassib at No. 8 overall? We will find out in just a few days.
