While most teams have their depth chart lined up and ready to go, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton said today the team is still unsure who will be the starting running back between Ahmad Bradshaw and Vick Ballard.

Per Phillip Wilson:

"Hamilton says #Colts RB pecking order, workload “yet to be determined.” Sorry, fantasy owners. No scoops. Have to speculate about Sunday."

Bradshaw was the early favorite coming into camp and seemingly the favorite coming out of camp, though recently the Colts suggested that Bradshaw might need a bit more recovery with his foot injury.

It was expected and later confirmed that Bradshaw would be available for Week 1 against the Oakland Raiders, however, he has been practicing with the second team and is likely to play reduced snaps, at least for the first week or two of the season.

Still, the most likely scenario would be Bradshaw playing his way into the starting role while Ballard gives him a change of pace time to time. That however might not happen for a few weeks.
