Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Isaiah Thomas signing is a ‘real possibility’

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking for young and exciting players to come aboard and help drag the team out of the muck they’ve been in for the last two years.

Some believe that the player the Lakers need is restricted Sacramento Kings free agent guard Isaiah Thomas, which would be a move that makes a lot of sense. According to NBA scribe Jared Zwerling, the Lakers are in serious contention for Thomas and have the money to make his signing with them a real possibility.

Lucky for the Lakers, they’re at the top of Thomas’ free agent wish list, but since he’s a restricted free agent the Kings have the opportunity to match an offer and keep the young guard. That seems like an odd thing to want to do to a guy you just replaced with Darren Collison, but if the Kings see a reasonable offer for Thomas they plan on matching it which puts pressure on the Lakers to make a good deal without overpaying.
