Blake Griffin exploded on the NBA scene with monstrous dunks and hard-nosed play around the basket. He’s also become one of the biggest celebrity endorsers in the NBA, and his latest campaign shows off the part of him that protects him most—his mouthguard.

TV maker Vizio unveiled a new ad titled ‘Slam Dunk Poetry’ featuring Blake Griffin paying homage to his silicon mouthguard in a pretty hilarious way.

Griffin has been an endorser and celebrity commercial pitchman for Vizio since the 2011 season, his rookie year in the NBA. There are two other ‘Slam Dunk Poetry’ videos featuring his bobblehead doll and tearaway pants.

Along with the videos, Vizio has a site dedicated to being able to have Griffin write you your very own slam poem.

Not only does Griffin endorse Vizio, he’s also appeared in Subway commercials along with many other groups including Nike and Kia. In fact, he’s one of the NBA’s biggest celebrity endorsers according to Forbes.

In 2013, Griffin earned an estimated $6 million from endorsements, putting him sixth in the NBA and just behind teammate Chris Paul.

Last season was Griffin’s first of a new six-year deal, and he finished the 2013-14 season by averaging 24.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
