After the season comes to an end, many believe the New England Patriots will explore the possibility of trading quarterback Tom Brady

Last week a story broke reporting that there

was tension between quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots

.

However, everyone involved has denied the report. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels told reporters he and Brady are “closer than ever” while Brady said there was no place he’d rather be than New England.

Talk had died down after the Patriots blew out the Cincinnati Bengals 43-17 Sunday. However, many believe Brady won’t finish his career with the Patriots.

According to Kirk Minihane, who spoke to CSN New England, the Patriots are going to explore trading Tom Brady.

"“The trade will happen at some point,” says Tanguay. “[Belichick] always trades a guy a year too early. Why would that change with a quarterback?”“I don’t think there’s any general manager in the world… that could get two first round picks for him,” says Minihane. “You’re going to trade two first round picks for a 38-year-old quarterback?”……“They’re going to at least explore trading Brady in this offseason. I’m convinced of that.”"

Should the Patriots continue to struggle and finish near .500, Minihane believes the Patriots should tell Brady “Tom, thanks for the memories, swell, here’s the watch, goodbye” and would be “insane” not to do it.

This seems like a bit of an overreaction, especially considering Brady is coming off of his best game of the season. The Patriots are used to getting rid of veterans who they think are losing it but when it comes to their Hall-of-Fame quarterback, it may be a different story.

The Patriots will be in Buffalo to take on the Bills Sunday and Brady is listed as questionable.
