Papa Johns plays wrong ad congratulating Seahawks for Super Bowl win (video)
By Ernie Padaon
It looks like Papa Johns sent out the wrong ad to a few spots and congratulated the Seattle Seahawks on back-to-back championships.
When Jermaine Kearse made that bobbling circus catch on the sidelines to bring the Seattle Seahawks to the goal line, we all were thinking that same thing. We all had thought that it is happening again to the New England Patriots and the Seahawks were going to hand the ball off to Marshawn Lynch to get the score and the win.
Papa Johns probably had that going through their head and sent out their ad. They were a little premature on that though. Their ad was congratulating the Seattle Seahawks on winning back-to-back championships.
OOPS!
This could be a marketing genius though. Look at all the attention that this is getting for playing the wrong team!
Of course they made a mistake, but Papa Johns will get a little extra love for making that mistake. It might not be some love for the right reasons, but they are getting attention.
If only the Seahawks would have given the ball to Marshawn at the half yard line, we wouldn’t even be talking about this mistake. We wouldn’t be thinking about that garlic sauce that we dip our pizzas in.
Someone grab the phone and order some pizza!
