The Cleveland Browns have been connected to nearly every free agent pass rusher and defensive back during the three-day negotiation period, but it looks like they could be focusing on two players with the start of the new league year just around the corner.

At 4:00 p.m. ET tomorrow afternoon, teams will finally be able to open negotiations with players. Over the weekend, teams were only allowed to discuss numbers with the agents, but the time was used mainly to gain interest — at least that is what the team’s want you to believe.

Two of the players that are high on the Browns radar heading into tomorrow’s free agency period are pass rushing specialists Cliff Avril from the Detroit Lions and Paul Kruger of the division rival Baltimore Ravens.

Per Sports Illustrated’s Peter King, the Browns will likely sign one of the two players by Tuesday night. His guess? Avril is the man signing on the dotted line.

The Browns certainly have the money to spend and are expected to be aggressive.

If the team can lock up Avril or Kruger and then add one of the top-tier defensive backs on the open market, their offseason is off to a great start.
