The Miami Heat are currently fighting for their lives in the 2013 NBA Finals, and Rashard Lewis has not been able to help the team that much. Lewis has been glued to the bench and out of the rotation for the whole of the playoffs. Next season, Lewis has a $1.4 million player option with the Heat, but he has not decided on whether he will exercise it, according to Sun-Sentinel:

"As for Lewis, there have been reports that he already has committed to his $1.4 million 2013-14 option. He said, however, that is not the case.“I haven’t agreed to anything,” he said. “I have no idea. The focus is on this year. I haven’t even talked to my agent.”"

While Lewis has only played garbage minutes in the postseason, he was more of a contributor in the regular season. He was brought in to add more versatility to the Heat frontcourt, as he is a big who can stretch the floor. Lewis averaged 5.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in the regular season, while shooting the 3-ball at a 41.4% clip.
