It appears Francisco Rodriguez may be emerging as one of the hottest names here in the world of MLB trade rumors. He’s most certainly the hottest name when it comes to relievers.

Many teams have a supposed interest in Rodriguez, but perhaps none more intense than that of the Los Angeles Dodgers, a team that has reportedly been heavily scouting him recently according to Danny Knobler of CBS Sports reports:

"Francisco Rodriguez once helped the Angels to a championship.Could he do the same for the Dodgers?K-Rod is emerging as perhaps the most interesting reliever on the July trade market, and the Dodgers remain the team that has scouted the Brewers the heaviest in recent days and weeks."

Other teams such as the Boston Red Sox are showing interest in K-Rod, but not many have been as aggressive as the Dodgers at this point.

With the way Rodriguez’s name is heating up, Los Angeles may want to make a move sooner rather than later in order to lock him up. The Brewers are going to need a decent price in return, especially after realizing they may be able to create a bidding war.

As they say, strike while the iron is hot.
