The NFL season got off to a great and spectacular start on Thursday night, of course the world watched Peyton Manning shred up the Ravens defense in the second half throwing for a record breaking 7 touchdowns. But that looks like the beginning of more exciting match ups for this Sunday’s schedule of games.

This weeks best match ups starts with the Packers verse the 49ers in San Francisco. Can the packers overcome the dynamic offense of the 49ers and the read offense? Will the Packers be able to run the ball and help Aaron Rodgers get some throwing lanes opened, with the 9ers defense that is a big question mark.

The next match up is the Falcons verse Saints, which should be a shootout according to their past match ups, I don’t see neither team getting that much better defensively to stop each others offense. But If I had to take one of them I would choose the Falcons defense because of the pieces they have added, and the Rob Ryan defense has yet to be effective in the NFL.

The next match up is all of the NFC east battling each other. The Eagles against RG3 and the Cowboys at home against the Giants. The Giants have owned the Cowboys home stadium sense the new stadium opened 2 years ago. I think that the Cowboys will fighting to not get beat a fifth straight time at home and also not to get off to a bad start. Can Eli Manning and company get back to the level of dominance they are accustomed to? All big questions but make for very good match up’s.

The Eagles verses the Skins may have the biggest headlines of all games in my opinion. The newly vamp offense of new head coach Chip Kelly will finally be on display for all to see. Will coach Kelly use two quarterbacks or let Michael Vick have full rein of the team. Of course the world is waiting to see RG3 return to live action, and question of him being rusty and can he move the way he moved early last year.

These and many other games will make for an exciting day of football in the NFL and I’m sure there will be upsets and more spectacular performances.
